Look at that strip mall. Imagine you're a billionaire who does not live in KC. You fly in with your rich friends to attend a game and show them around the city but you have to drive by that to get there. Are you really surprised Clark wants to move elsewhere? I don't really believe him at all when he talks about renovating it. I think he's gone. The Legends area of Kansas isn't fantastic or like culture-rich or anything but it's a hell of a lot better than the dilapidation taking place in some areas. It's kind of a clean slate. |

Given all the tax breaks, I'm not sure a new stadium for a sports teams is really an economic plus. Having a sports team in the greater metro area but having your neighbor pay for it, doesn't actually seem like the worst outcome...

Stadium Watch 2024 -Jackson County Residents: How Are You Voting?
You wanna talk about a nice spot for a meth binge? Just troll along Raytown Rd 500 yards south of Arrowhead and see what some folks are fighting for instead of embracing a clean, new future in Kansas. And this isn't the spot due West that's just an industrial wasteland. At least they knocked down one big hunk of dogshit and made parking for more Ford F-150s recently. |

I thought Clark was trying to absorb the St Louis and Eastern MO market.
Odd and stupid that he would add 30 minutes to their travel time if that were truly the case. Guess it isn’t. |

Same could be said about the legends area. It was nothing before people tried. It's not like theyve ever really tried to build around the TSM and it failed. They just never tried to build there and I don't see how the legends would be a better attraction than the present location if they built it up. Would people pass up going shopping there to go to the legends or go drinking if it were available?

Legends is easy to get to from the airport and that entire area from Overland Park to Bonner Springs to KCK is kind of ripe for development I mean eventually all the growth to the south becomes too far for people. I mean, eventually Metcalf runs into a lake.

I just can’t imagine why no one has thought of developing that whole area to make it more attractive for year round shopping and dining. |

You see, Crossroads was just a strip club and some shit local restaurants. Perfect for a downtown baseball stadium to displace. But TSC, that is a goddamn gem that's ripe for development and the Chiefs should fight to stay. Hell I bet if we go back far enough in this very thread we have a bunch of folks trashing TSC and the surrounding areas when the Royals wanted to move. But now it's sacrilege for the Chiefs to want out of that exact same shithole. Because we love the building. And that's fair, it's a marvelous venue. But you just know it's got the concrete cancer too and will have to be put out of commission one way or another. |

I have no idea specifically why it hasn’t been tried but I’m quite certain people have thought about it and researched it and decided not to do anything further with it. |
