Just tried Nueske's https://www.nueskes.com/?sc=PPCBRAND...E&gclsrc=aw.ds triple thick bacon and corned beef hash. Goooood stuff.
Side note: if you're ever in Kemmerer WY, The Place on Pine Diner does a pretty good breakfast. The biscuits are top shelf. Light and fluffy, and they lightly toast them! Last edited by Megatron96; 07-09-2020 at 01:01 PM.. |

Wife hooked us up with some shared fishery co-op out of the pacific northwest that distributes monthly. June was 5# of halibut. This was my 2nd iteration of fish tacos using it, the first being a recipe suggestion that came with the delivery that turned out looking like a ****ing fish salad on a tortilla concocted by an eskimo. I was so angry at them despite the fish being fantastic.
I did these more to my liking and they turned out much better. Basically chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, lime zest, oil, and lime juice marinade for 20 mins. Kept the slaw simple with shredded cabbage and mayo, chopped chipotle, couple spoonfuls of adobo sauce, and lime juice. Touched it with just a bit of hickory while on the grill. Flour tortilla of course. |

Last week I finally did the Baha Fish Tacos that easy6 recommended awhile back. I followed the strictly the recipe except didn't deep fry the mahi-mahi it was to damn hot outside and light was what I was after so grilled. That Curtido is easy and delicious don't forget it. The crema was ok but I am ok just the same with splashes of Tapatio. The recipe is on web link below if interested.

Must be taco mania these last few weeks here on CP.
Last night at the Village Tavern here in Scottsdale I had my Ahi Tuna Sashimi appetizer and followed it up with (4) blackened filet mignon tacos. They were incredible messy and incredible delicious at the same time. I added some extra cilantro and they had this awesome spicy sauce.

I have some catfish in the freezer that should become tacos. Need to look into cooing them some way other than frying.

Smoked then seared tri tip over cheesy grits. Oh and a kale with aged cheddar salad. |
