Reading the tea leaves...I have to agree. There is a degree or randomness but all signs say they roll.

I'm very interested in seeing Mahomes operate, unfettered, without the constraints of navigating a point spread. Usually it's a box of about 5 points...they can score as much as they want on Sunday. It's never happened in the play-offs...as far as I know...that the money is all on their opponent and only a 1.5 point differential...it usually the exact opposite.

I wont be surprised if KC puts up 38...

Now watch...it'll be a 17-14 slogfest. Ha.

I don't have any comebacks. I did say at the Thanksgiving table when we went around and said what we were thankful for that it should only take me about 13 seconds. But not really a comeback.

I do deal with a lot of Bills fans in person. The thing that annoys them the most is when I treat them like the second class NFL citizens that they are.

"Hey are we talking about football over here? Oh, it's just the Bills, never mind."

"Whoa, the Bills made the playoffs again?! Good for them!"

"That reminds me of the second time I watched the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. Or was it the third? Was it the first? I can't keep them all straight."

I also like to complain about how much money I've spent on Super Bowl merch in the last 5 years.

Lol god damn. I love Frogs. Such a shitty movie. My mom and I were staying at a hotel when I was like 6 and that movie was on the tv there. We were cracking up when that butterfly lady got killed by leeches or something.

The Chiefs haven’t scored 38 since when, the SB versus the Eagles? So 2 years ago. Seems more likely they score 10 in the AFCCG.

Because football isn't basketball. Basketball is the only sport I've ever seen where a team truly can flip a switch and just buzzsaw their opponents. And even THAT'S only possible because of the 'best of' series format.

But in a win or go home scenario, I just don't think it's possible to 'turn it on' when you need it. You have it or you don't.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the Chiefs ARE just that good.

That's just an awfully big mental hurdle to ask people to clear.
Dude...they were 15-1 and beat every AFC playoff team except the Bills...and looked disinterested/uninspired while doing it.

Yes..they are that good. They just turn it up a notch when they need to.

The defense just throttled the Texans when the game became close towards the end...they couldn't do shit. It was kind of amazing...like a flick of a switch. I haven't seen a team be able to morph like that...

The game last week definitely had the "play with your food" vibe...Brown/Hopkins had 0 catches.

It's deceptive...you kind of feel like the game was close ...then KC wins by twice their score...and you go...oh, I guess it wasnt.
