While it somewhat coincided with COVID, there were unrelated lawsuits challenging the transfer rules that actually caused the transfer portal to become what it is today. NIL helped juice it up as players started looking for paydays.

I don't really care about losing players who drastically under performed last year.

Losing Bidunga stings a bit, but until I see the team for 2025-26, I'm just can't care all that much.
