Saw this in at least one other game yesterday but it was successful. Basically playing the odds and using analytics which is more and more of a thing these days.
Idea is you hit on about 50% of these two point plays. Odds are if you miss that one, you'll get the next one and it'll all even out. But if you hit on the first one, now you've got an edge and can win the game with an extra point. |

The thought is that you’re more likely than not to convert the 2 point conversion at least once on two tries.
Down 14. Score 2 TDs. Go for it on the first. If you pick it up, then you can win by kicking it on the second one. If you don’t pick it up, you can still tie with a 2 point conversion on the second one. That’s the logic at least.

When players see McDaniel walking around practice and in the locker rooms and shit, do they really respect him? Of course they will all say they totally respect him, but I bet they really don't. At least not like how they would respect Andy Reid or any of the other established coaches.
