They didn't exactly have a murderers row schedule last year compared to this though last year either.

Bengals, Ravens, Jaguars, Steelers, Packers, Vikings, Seahawks, Bears, Lions last year
Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders, Raiders, Texans, Eagles, Cowboys, Giants, Commanders, Falcons this year

Regardless, NYJ has a lot of talented players and flashed that potential in 2022. Lack of competent QB play was the biggest hole on that team, per every analyst last year. During the two games i saw them play, I think I noted in one of the GDTs that if they had prime Alex Smith they probably would've made the playoffs ahead of MIA.

Maybe that was hyperbole, but bottom line, they didn't need elite QB play, just better than average. Rodgers can easily deliver that much with that supporting cast.
None of what you're saying is impossible. I just remember how the media ran with how awesome they were going to be as soon as they benched Wilson, all they need is ok QB play!!!

Then they proceeded to shit the bed anyway and their other QB's also stunk. One good thing is they removed LaFleur who was a terrible OC last year. But there are ways this could go badly too.

Rodgers is VERY picky about wrs, if you don't run the route the way he expects you aren't getting the ball.

I will be watching Rodgers to Wilson early to see if Rodgers likes him or ends up favoring Lazard (sounds crazy to anyone that doesn't follow GB but very possible according to my GB friend).

His WRs were terrible in the first half of the season. Watch any GB game in the first 6-8 weeks; his WRs were getting bullied on their routes and getting jammed at the line, so they were unable to get open on time, and weren't where they were supposed to be nearly every snap. Watson eventually learned to fight through his routes so he would at least be where he was supposed to be, but he still needs a lot of work. Lazard, well, I was never that impressed with Lazard. He's like a less capable version of JJSS.

LaFleur's offensive play-calling might have been part of the problem as well. But you can watch those early games and no one's getting open and Watson is getting pushed around on nearly every route. That much is obvious.

Rogers has been opting for Burning Man/Aya/Darkness Retreats/Pat McAfee in recent off-seasons.

It’s far from a lock that he’ll put in the work to build off-season work to build rapport.

Wilson and the other QB for NYJ were pretty disappointing from what I heard/saw. When they benched Wilson everyone thought White would be at least more consistent, but that only worked for a couple games, iirc.

I agree that Rodgers could well decide that Lazard is his go-to WR, which seems crazy to me, but it wouldn't surprise me either.

Thing is, he doesn't need to put up 4,500+ yds and 40 TDs in 2023. Not if that OL and Breece come back healthy and that defense plays 80-90% as well as they did last season. He can ride that running attack and defense, play average for Rodgers and pretty easily make the playoffs.

Per ESPN, Rodgers has begun working out with his teammates already. He's not playing golf all offseason like last year.

They get the Raiders twice? Talk about lucky indeed.

It helps to not be on a team where you are feuding with the GM.

I would normally that list but I know it's just for ratings and trying to make Jets fans feel good

That guy is probably biased, but as of today, I don’t think it’s ridiculous to have the Jets at the top.

Its absolutely ridiculous. Its worse than having the Chargers at 3.

Jets haven't done jack or shit in decades, Rodgers hasn't won anything meaningful in over a decade.

Its click bait bullshit. I doubt the jets are the Vegas favorite to win their division let alone the AFC.

I don't get how this Carton guy is getting exposure outside NJ. I see him often on YouTube as his crap channel getting pushed by the algorithm.

Wow. That seems extreme.

I think that guy is a Jets fan though. Seems like a lot of wishful thinking at any rate. Lol, about LAC. Every single year.
