Please delete my account...

I don't want to be tempted to return, so I ask for the account to be completely jaked. It's one thing to be harassed by racist jackasses in PMs... It's another thing being harassed for shedding light on the racist jackasses. If you're going to bend the rules to protect racist jackasses, then I'd just as soon you delete my account immediately.

I know I'll take heat because people hate these kinds of threads... But whatever.

So in retrun to all the "good riddance" cat calls this is sure to evoke, I say 'have a nice life.'

I think on its own maybe it would just be a nasty, nasty insult that is over the top and deserved a warning on that basis alone. However, for at least a week Otter has been going to the racial edge to get to TJ. I bellieve Russ is correct that given the overall circumstances it deserved a warning.

First of all, I have never been in a "spat" in my life.

Secondly, the "beef" didn't need to be aired, and it wasn't legitimate. If you have a complaint about a poster's actions, why post it publically? Do you expect a non-moderator to do something about it? Why not tell someone who can do something about it - like hmmmm, let's see, oh yes how about a moderator?

Third, if your complaint about your mother being called a "mexican whore" is that your mother is not mexican but rather a fat white woman, it is hard to take the complaint seriously. TJ did it for the air-time, not for the complaint.

Fourth, I wasn't in an argument with TJ. I stated his thread was created merely to garner attention and that I was pretty sure he wouldn't tolerate it on his board. He AGREED that he wouldn't tolerate his own actions. When two people agree, that is not a "spat"

Finally, if you are the only person out of 3,007 members who believe that I handled it incorrectly, I am pretty sure I did the right thing.

We until tonight have not had a forum to move threads to, so we lock them. I do not like the separate forum but maybe it is needed for times like this. TJ uses one all the time at the Orangemane and admitted he would have used it had someone posted what he did at the mane. Russ locked the thread which pizzed TJ off a little more. I suspect heat of the moment which caused TJ to create this thread. I suspect at this point that it is almost all blown over, but it is in its dying throes. Patience.
