Some guys we all universally agreed on have kicked ass so far outside of the top 10 known players:
Bowers BTJ Verse Quinyon Some guys I love that are doing well: Braden Fiske Ladd McConkey Drake Maye-top 10 but I thought he was the best QB prospect Graham Barton Edgerrin Cooper-feels like we all universally liked him Bucky Irving-God I wanted him here so bad Guys that I didn’t like that are not doing well: Jordan Morgan-never understood the hype with him Amarius Mims Nate Wiggins Misses: Bo Nix-he’s not great but he’s been better than I thought mostly due to scheme Darius Robinson Tyler Guyton Ben Sinnott-thought he’d make an impact like LaPorta Marshawn Kneeland Jeremiah Burton-guy is immature as hell. Already a problem Jared Wiley-injured but I thought he’d be an instant impact guy. Still like his future Devontez Walker-wtf happened to this guy??? Javon Baker-no idea what is going on with him. Another guy most of us liked Brandon Dorlus Keon Coleman Masson Smith

I won't pretend like I had too many strong opinions, particularly any well researched opinions.
Coleman is better than I thought he'd be. The videos I saw of him he looked John Baldwin slow. He couldn't get separation in the ACC, but somehow can in the NFL. I thought Nix would be pretty awful, but I gotta say I'm impressed. He's not Mahomes and periodically has some really tough throws, but he's been solid as a rookie on a not great team. He may end up as an Alex Smith type, but he can competently operate an offense and as long as he doesn't have to do it all himself, he can put pressure on a defense. |

Nix is much better than I thought. Maye is showing
Bowers is as good as I thought. McConkey is good and has stayed healthy, which was the main concern I had coming into the NFL. Maye has been really good so far, which was my initial read on him. I also thought Burton would overcome his maturity shit, but it's clearly holding him back.

I was laughed at when I talked about how high I was on Nix. He appears to be pretty freakin solid.
Kamari Lassiter is nails and Andru Phillips has looked pretty good at CB. Brian Thomas Jr has been phenomenal. We should have traded up for that guy like I wanted us to. Him falling to 23 was criminal. Troy Fautanu was looking really good until he got injured. Edgerrin Cooper and Payton Wilson have been what I thought they'd be at LB. Theo Johnson has been good at TE but has been dinged here and there. |

The two guys I liked most - Quinyon Mitchell and Malik Nabers are both playing like I expected. Too bad Nabers has - or had - Dimes throwing to him. I liked Brian Thomas Jr. and Fiske too.
And I hate saying this, but I seem to have been wrong about Nix. I've seen nothing to suggest that I was wrong about Troy Franklin not being very good, but that still remains to be seen. |

Fiske and Verse are doing about what I expected, but even faster than I expected, in LA.
I think a lot of people need to eat crow on McConkey too |

I liked Troy Franklin and Adonai Mitchell and they've done nothing. I thought Coleman would be awful and he's been much better than expected. Didn't think Worthy would have much of an impact as a rookie, we'll see, but I think I'll be right. Liked McConkey but didn't think he'd be this good at all. Didn't like Javon Baker at all and feel pretty vindicated. Didn't think much of Nix although I picked him in the mock draft! Been surprised by him. Loved Verse, he looks great. |

I wanted Joey Porter Jr in that draft, not because I'm knowledgeable about college football. But because I thought his father was a good player. He seems like he's doing pretty good.

Liked Ladd McConkey and Keon Coleman. Both great gauntlet times, think Coleman was #1 and McConkey #2 Seems like teams should pay even more attention to such an exercise instead of the 40 and other dumb non-football speed stuff. The year before the top gauntlet was Puka Nacua....

In any event, I think it has value in showing a WR's awareness and, obviously, the ability to catch the football in stride. The most important timed event for football, in my opinion, is the 3-cone drill. The ability to change direction and be explosive is more relevant than the ability to run in a straight line. The major issue is only a handful of WRs ran the drill this past year at the combine. Bill Belichick used ot put a ton of stock into 3-cone for all positions but especially DL, LB, and WR. |

Agree crow. That’s why I loved the Noah Gray pick and really like Sam LaPorta. 6’3” 240+ lb TE’s running a 6.90 3 come is insane and you can see the effects

Brian Thomas Jr was my guy. I wanted us to make more of a splash to go get him.
Still happy with the Worthy pick, but Thomas has been really good. Seems like he could’ve been a top 2-3 WR in most draft classes. This year was just extra crazy.
