Should we be more worried about the Jets?

In an earlier thread, I asked who should we be most worried about and concluded that the Jets were number four behind Cincinnati Baltimore and Buffalo. I said that depended on if Rogers returns to his MVP form of 3 years ago.

In reading PFF assessment of strengths of each team I am rethinking the jets. Obviously it all depends on Rogers still. But it is noteworthy that PFF ranks the Jets defence top in the NFL in all three categories: DL, LB, and DB. And the assessment is hard to argue with. at most, they would probably drop a place or two. So very formidable.

On offense, I realized their line had improved, but was struck by PFF grading them at number five. And it was probably smart for them too add depth to their line with their first round draft pick instead of going for a receiver. PFF actually ranks there RB lower than I would. I think Hall is probably only behind McCaffrey. They also rank their receivers fairly low, although Wilson could be among the best and Williams if healthy will be a great addition. And Rogers can make everyone much better. I think they could’ve done a better job in the draft adding to their WR group. Not sure Corley was the best pic at number three. But we will see.

We know Mahomes can beat Allan and Jackson so I am not so worried about Buffalo and Baltimore. I’ve always been most worried about Cincinnati because we know Burroughs can beat us, but Rogers is an unknown quantity. And it looks like he has a better supporting cast than I had realized.

This morning on Breakfast Ball I was in tears laughing so hard listening to Craig Carton go on a 20 minute rant about how horrible the Jets are. He finally waived the white flag of surrender. Wants to bench Rodgers and start Tyrod Taylor.

"WE SUCK! AARON RODGERS SUCKS! THE OFFENSE SUCKS! THE DEFENSE SUCKS! SAUCE GARDNER SUCKS AND I WILL NO LONGER CALL HIM SAUCE CAUSE HE DOESN'T DESERVE IT! THE ORGANIZATION SUCKS! SELL THE TEAM! WOODY JOHNSON GO BE AMBASSADOR TO ENGLAND UNDER TRUMP! THE COACHES SUCKS! THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE A TOP DEFENSE AND KYLER MURRAY WENT 22-24 AND COMPLETED 17 PASSES IN A ROW! IT'S A POOP SHOW!"

Made my morning!

I love seeing New York teams suck. It's like napalm in the morning.

Jets fan is SALTY.

From ganggreen:

If the Jets had someone else worth starting, then sure. But they don't, and Rodgers is such a dick that I want him to have to play out the string and get embarrassed each week.

Rodgers has to play out the entire season. This is his mess. He shouldn't get to bail on it earlier than everyone else because it's going poorly.

I love these kind of thread bumps.

Would be very Rogers to just retire mid season.

Should not be worried about the Jets, and Anthony Richardson will not be a problem.

Can confirm.

Direck thought the Jets, Anthony Richardson and a certain nominee were all going to be a problem:

Maybe in 15 years, when the Jets trade for Jordan Love, they will have better luck. 3rd time is a charm, right? Lol.
