So is it just impossible to find decent left tackle play? At this point I’m starting to think we should have just extended OBJ even though I was against that originally (shows what I know). He was having a really good season this year in Cincinnati prior to getting injured and he’s making significantly less than Taylor. Is Andy Heck maybe not getting the job done?

It’s similar to wideout.

It’s a premium position demanding premium pay. The top prospects are gone in the Top 15 (both factors make this a difficult problem for us). Even someone solid is going to demand a king’s ransom at a position where solid demands a premium price.

I miss Eric Fisher, man. Gotta wonder if his achilles was set to go, or if that one inconsequential play in Buffalo was hugely consequential to the longterm trajectory of our line (for better and worse).

He may have the "traits" but he is absolutely not ready for the NFL. If Morris is out we can't have this guy. He's so far from where he needs to be I don't know how he can be allowed meaningful snaps to improve.
