In the last superbowl we had.

MVS
Rice
Watson
Hardman
James

Kelce
Gray

Pacheco
Clyde
Mckinnon

This year God willing we may have

Hopkins
Brown
Juju
Worthy
Hardman
Watson

Kelce
Gray
Fortson
Wiley

Hunt
Pacheco
Perine
Steele
Clyde

Surely no-one can argue that this offense we could potentially have moving forward would be way better than the one we had going into the superbowl?

So imo Veach has done his job.
Given our undefeated record and our remaining schedule (only Buffalo and Houston should be a challenge in Houston is not playing nearly as well, as I thought they would.) I can’t imagine us finishing with any more than three losses. We have the tiebreaker against the ravens so we will be ahead of them unless they go undefeated – highly unlikely. It’s almost certain the Texans , Steelers and bills will lose at least two more games so we will finish ahead of them.

So it’s hard to imagine we won’t get the bye week.

And as the poster above notes, our lineup In the playoffs will certainly be better than what we had last year. And that will be true, even if brown doesn’t recover although it certainly great and that he’s anticipated as being back for the playoffs.

Also, no one seems to be giving Hardman credit for what a good game he had against the 49ers. Hopefully we can count on him to continue to contribute like that.

And I really think there’s a lot of room for Mahomes to improve in his chemistry with worthy. Worthy is often open and not just on long routes. Mahomes just doesn’t hit him.

So with the Hopkins trade, which has probably done what we need for our WR room to win our Super Bowl threePeat and we virtually gave up nothing, Hopkins should make a huge difference in our red zone situation. Gives us someone who will almost never drop the ball.

Once Pacheco is back, our running attack is going to be unstoppable.

If we could get another WR, that would of course provide even added insurance. I have no problems giving up a third round draft pick but if it’s going to be the one we got in the Titan trade for Snead it needs to be somebody that will help us next year as well. Getting another WR is now a nice to have and not a need to have situation.

if it were possible, I think an area of higher need would be an OT and we should definitely be prepared to give up the titan number three pick and more if we could get someone that was good (good, not great) but I don’t know who might possibly be available. Failing a trade I do think we should bring back Donovan Smith is Insurance.

Another area of higher need might now be cornerback given the injury in the San Francisco game to Watson. Maybe our current roster can handle this, but I am probably more worried about that than our WR situation now.

Our DL could improve in terms of sacks, but with Omenihu coming back soon I don’t think that’s an area we need to look at in terms of trades.

So bottom line in my opinion I think Veach has solved our WR problem adequately and if there’s other moves to make to improve our threePeat chances it is probably not at WR, but we should definitely be willing to give up third round picks if there’s an opportunity for an OT or maybe even a CB.

Yeah, I was arguing about that with my buddy this morning.

"Man, we just don't prioritize the position..."

And for a time he wasn't wrong but damn fella, he did quite a bit this off-season and everything went tits up on him.

I still think he could (should) do a bit more to address the bad breaks along the way, but he's a lot to this point.

Probably could've found a way to win more than one each year.

He’s better than any WR on this roster currently outside of Rice and Hopkins. Worthy might end up better in due time, but for now he’s not there.

There goes the idea that Veach would never sign a receiver over 30, and truth be told he probably wouldn't under normal circumstances... but these aren't normal circumstances
