Can somebody explain this to me? With Mahomes' injury, people automatically assume the worst. But Wentz winning a game? That's almost a sure thing. People have lost their minds.
It's not a sure thing at all. I just don't much care if they beat the Texans or not and think the outcome of the game is quite meaningless in comparison to Mahomes' health.

This team can win a SB with the #7 seed if Mahomes is healthy and playing football for them. They can't win the SB if they are the #1 seed and Mahomes is injured.

The choice is obvious.

They haven’t practiced with Wentz. He hasn’t taken any QB1 starter reps since camp back in August.

And Mahomes has a “mild” sprain aka grade I. 2022 was a moderate grade II sprain. The injury is not as severe as that one.

The choice isn't obvious. You're assuming, again, that if Mahomes plays against the Texans he will get hurt.

The chances of him getting hurt are exponentially lower than them losing the #1 seed because Cason Wentz is broken and can't actually play anymore.
