I'd like to go ahead and sign him to a nice deal this offseason maybe.

If Hopkins goes down we’re just cursed this year and it would validate why no team has ever threepeated.

Juju didn't get an offer here because his knees were shot. Hollywood Brown can't stay on the field. Hopkins has been injured multiple times in the past 4-5 years. If Hopkins got hurt I wouldn't be even slightly surprised. |

We arent even going to see the Ravens in the playoffs. Book it! They have one of the worst defenses in the league. Who TF has Lamar EVER beat in the playoffs? I know Josh Allen isn't exactly Joe Montana in the playoffs but I will take Allen over Lamar in a pressure cooker game in the postseason all day.

The only surprise was Rice, but almost every team has one or two key players go down. So I don't think it is a shock that that they lost an important player somewhere.

I don't think they trade with us... Teams are sick of us. I'm surprised we were able to make the trades we did.

I mean...maybe he IS Kadarius Toney. And? Didn't exactly sink us having him around, did it? I just don't see how a guy like Johnson is going to come into a locker room with Mahomes, Kelce, now Hopkins, Jones...hell, Thuney or Bolton...and try to big-time people. Shut the hell up, rental. Do your portion and we'll be fine. Nobody's going to listen to that guy hold court on this team. "Dafuq have you ever done in this league? Read the playbook and be ready when we call on you. And if you aren't, we'll bury your ass headed into your walk year..." It's overblown for a team like ours.

Brandt Tilis is in Carolina now. Maybe he told Veach that Johnson's a piece of shit and don't trade for him.
That's all I got. |

And we don't have a 2025 6th rounder (Hardman deal). So if they wanted SOMETHING in 2025, it left us without many options. We could've offered them that early 7th (Jets 7th) and have provided a similar return to what they got, I guess. But that's still less. We could've tried to secure a 5th rounder this year from someone but I'm not real sure how (maybe the early 7th plus next years 5th to somebody for their 5th this year?). And that's gambling a bit when the Panthers may not have wanted to wait around for us to figure that out. There may have just been some mechanical hangups getting the correct capital to beat that deal without badly overpaying.
