No, no, and no. If you want pants that light, skip the jacket or go full Tom Wolfe.

I can live with that. That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me on here. [blushes]

I was less concerned about the color than if the jacket from a suit (which is kind of formal-looking) would look weird with more casual-looking khakis.
Ideally, a sports jacket would be called for, but I don't have time to get one.

Also, why is it called a "sports jacket?" Because I always think of this

All of that can be found at a TJ Max? I haven't been there in years so maybe things have changed.

That and a shit ton more.

Wore the jeans and gray shirt tonight and was feeling extremely sexy. The jeans honestly fit and feel great...they are like $90 retail, too. Best jeans I own.

Not sure if srss, but the sports jacket is an adaption of formal attire, ie, a suit, to 'sporting' settings in England, such as equestrian or hunting.

It's heavier material [usually tweed] and vented in the back for more arm/torso freedom, compared to a linen or silken suit jacket.

Picture Hemingway or T.Roosevelt out on the Serengeti, . . . or Jim Rockford or Spenser [for hire].

So proud of you on your transition.

Now do we still call you Iconic, or is it Connie now?

Love, love, love those PD&C jeans.

Highly recommended if you aren't a fatass. Get to a TJ Maxx and get some cheap! I may go back for another color.

By the way, I have no idea what to wear with that red-blue-white checked shirt. I didn't feel right in it with jeans. Like a big studly American flag. Maybe I need a pair of khakis to go with it? It felt a little "loud." Maybe it needs a jacket to tone it down.
