Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Got my PSA gun bag today. It feels real solid. Has a lot of pockets for mags and whatever else you want to put in it. Great looking bag.

I have a beautiful little Sig Commander 1911 that's perfect for carrying, but I almost never use it anymore, and if I do it's only when I'm in the neighborhood.
It is extremely easy to forget the safety under stress.

My hunting buddy lost 2 bucks on different occasions. Both times he forgot he left the safety on his lever gun. Both times, when it went *** CLICK*** the first time, he assumed a dud and racked the lever for follow up shots. Each time, the buck was long gone by the time he realized the safety was on.

But between the two, I'd go with the MRO. Trijicon is the shit.

I know that EoTech had a big recall recently but I never took them up on it. I've had a 512 on my AR for the last 10 or so years and never had a problem with it.

However, I DID choose to go with a Trijicon on the AR 10.....got a really good price on one and couldn't resist.

That is an insane deal.

Plus, it has an awesome buttstock and good rail. Polish the trigger, switch out the charge handle and you've got an outstanding rifle.

Yeah, that's an ACS stock - I've got one on my old AR. That, the polished stainless barrel, the free float rail..... Jesus. A year ago those are the kinds of things you add on your own AFTER you pay $300-$400 more for a base rifle.

It's a no-brainer if you are looking for a .308, and not to slam the M14/M1A guys, but I prefer the AR-10 platform.

If they'd had this deal when I got my M1A, I wouldn't have got my M1A.

I got mine for 450. Let me track down the dealer and I will post the link.
