I'm not hating on our guys. I'm just saying that when they are literally on at least once every commercial break, fans are going to feel overloaded. Brady never had that. Even Peyton didn't have this much gravity. Mahomes is on a lebron / MJ level right now in terms of marketability.

I have seen this sentiment a lot amongst NFL fans. It’s such a shallow comment. If you’re plugged into the team, you see the current lineup is BETTER - by a decent clip - than the lineup for the playoffs last year. I mean, where was last year’s team better? Sneed over Jaylen Watson. All right. But it’s a small bulge with how well Watson has played. OL? Is Joe Thuney noticeably worse than Donovan Smith at LT? Is Caliendo worse than Allegretti? Other than that, it’s the same. This team is better at S and DL and much better at Wr. Even at RB, I’d take this group because Perine has more in the tank than McKinnon and Hunt gives them a short-yardage weapon they didn’t have before.

Sat in a bar and was the villain where everyone was rooting for the Texans.many of my friends are on the conspiracy bandwagon and shoveled out the same horseshit stats about mahomes penalties. I never thought I'd be this way but I give zero ****s anymore. It's such a different feeling when you know the team is great and you don't need to prove anything to anyone.
But im not gonna lie, a signature win where we've won so many games ugly would taste very delicious. |

I see on espn Dan is picking the Bills. Not surprised considering he's a regular guest on their youtube chanel smh.
When I look at folks making these picks you can just see the inherit bias screaming out. Watched Mina Kimes and her co-star wax lyrical about the Bills offense and how "they match up great with the Chiefs defense after watching the last game". But failed to mention the impact Watson and Omenihu could have. Failed to mention how the Chiefs defense hasn't given up more than 19 in the last six games etc. And then when they talked about the Chiefs offense it was all negative and they never once mentioned how poor the Bills defense has been. They literally never stopped the Ravens when they didn't turn it over. But no, ignore the warts of Buffalo because that's the bias talking. Both of them picked Buffalo and the guy with her was talking big.. "I've never felt more confident with a pick. If this Bills team can't beat that Chiefs team then no other team can" were his words. Said about a back to back champion who are 16-1 and playing at home with a healthier squad. Now to Mike Florio and Chris Simms Simms picked the Bengals to beat KC to go to the superbowl at the start of the season. Then when the Bengals stunk he switched to the Ravens to beat KC to go to the Superbowl and claims "the Chiefs defense and offense are worse than last season". So who did he pick today? Yep, you guessed it!!..BUFFALO. Mike Florio literally said "I have chiefs fatigue and want a changing of the guard. I want the Bills to win but I can't do it. I'm picking the chiefs". And imo the only reason Mike picked us is because he picked us to win the superbowl before the season started. But unlike Mina Kimes he's sticking to that pick. Like I've been saying. The world is truly against us on Sunday and let's pray that Pat and the guys cause more tears and tantrums when the dust has settled. |

But it's a shallow analysis. It loses the context of the offensive situation (injuries, late acquisitions, late-season returns, etc.). It loses the context of the defensive situation (playing big parts of the year without Omenihu and Watson is a big deal).

I'm really just basing my expectations on last year. The Chiefs offense is better, the defense is just as good. The Bills offense is maybe a little better but their defense is worse. Add in that this game is at KC and I just don't see the Bills winning. |

I think there are a lot of analysts picking based on what they WANT to be true rather than what is, actually, true. I mean, the Texans’ defense was at full strength. And the Chiefs worked their way to 23 points on 7 actual possessions against it. And could have had more had they needed it late. That’s a well above-average offensive performance against a team that’s better at all 3 levels on D than the Bills. Who, in addition to being less talented, also have major injury concerns with their top safety, top linebacker, and top corner. Now, can they BEAT the Chiefs? Hell yes. They’re good. If the Chiefs can’t bottle up the Bills’ run game against and get them into 3rd and longs with regularity, it could get ugly for the KC D. And a turnover or two could flip it, and they’re GREAT at forcing turnovers against ball carriers chasing YAC. But folks acting like it’s the clear pick/smart pick are picking based on emotion and feels, not on the actual matchup.

ESPN FPI Analytics only giving Chiefs a 45% chance to win. Put this on the bulletin board in the locker room. I'm pretty sure ESPN FPI Analytics said pretty similar bullshit last year about the Playoff games against Buffalo & Baltimore.

If you listen to the likes of Mike Florio, Chris Simms, Mina Kimes etc the narrative is..
1. Philly have the better roster 2. Philly are the better team 3. The Philly defense is designed to stop KC 4. Even when they don't create pressure the Eagles defense are great. 5. The Chiefs are worse and Philly are better since two years ago 6. If you had to pick 22 players you'd have 15 eagles and 7 chiefs 7. They are shocked KC are the favourites It's utterly amazing how a back to back champion who has beaten everyone they've faced since Christmas 2023 and went 15-1 this season is before reaching their third consecutive superbowl is spoken about that way. And these kind of comments pop up everytime we make it to the big dance. Philly weren't the one seed, lost three times and let up 36 and 33 to Washington and Tampa plus allowed several 350-400 yards games but everything gets ignored when it comes to the opposition of the Chiefs. Anything can happen next sunday but it's very clear who certain media folks will be rooting for and they aren't even trying to hide it. |
