To a man they'll make money for the rest of their lives for being a part of this team. They'll get free agent money, commercial money, and be interviewed forever. This is harder to do that go undefeated.

KC will pop champagne every other year when the SB winner loses. KC fans will forever know who to cheer for and against in every super bowl for the rest of our lives.

This one breaks the seal. The fourth straight will stand for the rest of our lives and our children's lives as well...

If there was ever a game where Mahomes will not give a damn about anything but winning it's this one. If he gets a crack he will just run. No concern about body or anything. He wants to overtake Brady. This win would do that in most eyes.

It's the quickest and easiest way to do something Brady never did. A leg up.

For now. In time he'll own everything, but for today and the now, this will be his first flag planted for what is to come...

WAKE THE **** UP, ITS SUPER BOWL GAME DAY.

For the 5th time in 6 years we are seeing our favorite team, the Chiefs of Kansas City playing in the Super Bowl. But this one’s a bit different, even though the teams just met for a tittle 2 years ago. This time it’s for the chance to write their names in the history books.

The days of “because Chiefs” wasn’t an easy thing to overcome. Nor was not winning a playoff game since Montana was lying on the cold hard ground in Buffalol. Nor was it going 50 years between titles.

Andy found out how cursed this franchise was. Giving up a 28 point lead in the 4th quarter against Indy to lose his first playoff game as Chiefs HC. Then not making the playoffs the following season. But then something changed. We won our first playoff game since the 1993 season. Andy and Alex finally broke that curse. And as much love and respect as I will always have for Alex Smith, he was too risk averse to get this team where it needed to go.

Then in 2016 we got the 2 seed and the first bye for the team since 2003. But again, we couldn’t get past the divisional round. The no touchdown game to the Steelers was just another because Chiefs moment.

That offseason we drafted our first 1st round quarterbacks since we took Todd ****ing Blackledge in 1983. And that was the final curse breaker. I remember this board one poster after another when it was announced we had traded with Buffalol for the 10th pick, every post for 5 minutes started with HOLY SHIT!

In 2017 we won our first back to back division titles. Now we’ve won 9 straight, hosted 6 AFCCGs. And took our team on the road into 2 of the hardest places to play a playoff game. And we shut out the lights on our way to our second title in a row.

Now fast forward to today’s game. We’ve come such a long way since then. We have fewer losses in the Reid era, than we had wins the previous 6 seasons before Andy got hired. We’re the best team in the league, and we’re on the doorstep of immortality. THREEPEAT is the ultimate success in this league. No team has ever gotten as close as this team is today. The league is built to make sure that this achieve can’t happen. And the league has said they put as many obstacles in their way this season to try and thwart our attempt at it. Early bye, 3 games in 12 days then 3 games in 10 days.

The team has overcome lots of adversity in the three seasons, and playoffs to be this moment. The next 60 football minutes is a culmination of hard work, dedication, and pushing each teammate to be excellent at their position. This is the top of the mountain in this league. It will never be better for any Chiefs fans of the future, and has never been this good for any Chiefs fans of the past. And we’re all alive in this timeline to witness the greatness of Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Steve Spagnuolo, Chris Jones, Bart Fleece, and the rest of the players, and coaches that have brought KC to the brink of destiny!

I’ve loved watching and discussing this team, on this site since I stumbled upon it. We’ve had many highs and lows in the 11 years I’ve been part of Chiefsplanet. And never did I ever dream up the reality that we’re witnessing today! We are blessed (by St Patrick of the rings) to be in this position.

A lot of things can change in 60 minutes. It can take a legendary team and put them in the upper echelon of not just football, but all of sports! And that’s what the next 60 football minutes has in store for this team, and us fans! KC has been through so much, but… they’re not done yet. When the lights are the brightest, the Chiefs won’t blink.

Enjoy the day fellas. History, destiny, and immortality awaits this team! And it’s only 60 football minutes away!

No way does this team make it this far, to be turned away. Chiefs will prevail and will hoist their third straight Lombardi tonight in Nola. And it’s gonna be GLORIOUS!

Go Chiefs!

A threepeat in the NFL's salary cap era would be the greatest accomplishment in the history of sports.

It's never been done because it's nearly impossible.-Tom Brady

Knowing Brady is calling the game has to be added motivation. For Mahomes to make Brady witness the 3-peat live in front of millions would, in some obscure way, be like beating him head-to-head.

This. It’s the ultimate trump card! Like wtf can opposing fans say to us then??

Nothing, that’s what. But that doesn’t mean they won’t still

We’ll hear about refs, and Taylor, and blah blah blah.

Then next season the same people will bet against us again. With more asinine takes, while saying it’s FINALLY Buffalol’s turn

Narrator : it would still not be their turn

I'm in, but I'm worried about coverage. I'm in Santiago, Chile, at the moment, and no one here seems to know what the Super Bowl is. It's not showing up on the TV listings at my hotel, but after extensive research last night, I can tell that the listings are completely wrong. So I don't know. Worst case, I may be following on the play by play updates.

Wait. Why are there two game threads? What's going on? We should have had all this buttoned down months ago.

Do it exactly like we practiced the last two years, people.
