But back on topic. I need conversation topics. Having a lot in common will only get me so far.

Do i go with a sports bar (she's a Cowboys fan, uggg) or do i go with the bigger sports bar?

Everyone who doesn't know anything about football is a Dallas fan.

Personally, I'm not a fan of having conversation topics lined up. Ask her about something you want to know about her, and roll with it from there. If the conversation flows without having to change topics a lot due to awkward silences, then I think that's a good sign.

Then again, I haven't been out on an actual first date since January 2009.

I'm not actually concerned with topics. I just want to see what CP has to say. I'm actually pretty willing to sling some of CP's ideas out there and see what happens.

You should ask her what she thinks about the relations between Israel and Kazakhstan.

In that case.

You should ask her about Smurfette being the only female Smurf, and who she thinks fathered the Smurflings.

Scooby or Scrappy?

Pro-Zombie Apocalypse or no?

Ask her what she would do if she only had one year left to live, because we're just under that now.

John Goodman - dead or alive?

And I really think the spit or swallow thing is pretty important.

Clay took over on his quest to get laid. Of course, EVERYONE had advice.

If I could change the name of the thread, I'd call it the Official Dating Thread or some such.

I can't believe it's been nearly five years ago. Seems like longer actually. I actually ran across the guy that was the original subject of this thread on LinkedIn last week. I did not invite him to be in my network.

From that you have the only answer that you need.
