Blissfully happy. We’re 13-1 and can win close games. The gods love us. 37 20.11%
Pretty happy. We’re 13-1, but we’ve been lucky a few times. 74 40.22%
Somewhat happy. We’re winning, but I don’t like how we’re winning. 56 30.43%
Neutral. I am a rock. I am an i-i-ah-i-sland. And a rock feels no pain. 1 0.54%
Somewhat unhappy. This team could be vulnerable, and our style of winning brings little joy. 13 7.07%

Please rate your happiness with the Chiefs after 14 games.

Just curious where everyone's minds are at.

We're watched 14 games, which is more than a dozen. How happy are you with the Chiefs' season so far?

Poll to follow.

Not really.

Pretend Alex Smith started the season 13-1 in the same fashion: regular season results and how they're accomplished don't really matter, it's all about the postseason.

Mahomes' 13-1 start: regular season results and how they're accomplished don't really matter, it's all about the postseason.

...obviously, one of those things is more blissful than the other due to having faith in what happens next.

If you're stressed the **** out, angry, frustrated all game every game, that's more of a you problem at this point.

Possibly, but none of those theoretical players is half as important as Mahomes.

All I have to do, to become happy, is remember how much hopium I had to give myself when they made the playoffs for the first time in my life. A lot of things had to happen just to make the playoffs. I was so full of joy after enduring the 70’s where success was measured by being within a touchdown in the 4rth quarter.

It's the way of the NFL (and sports in general) that.....well you have to do it again and again over and over, year after year.

We have a unique perspective because we were the group that crawled thru a river of shit and came out clean on the other side, but it's been a slog this year.

It's been so long ago we've compartmentalized it, but the injuries early just cratered the offense that was supposed to be explosive and fun. It happens, but the reason I'm happy with the year is that it's really been a muscle flex for the organization and coaching etc.

They got blasted with injuries, most of which would have the beloved Bills or the Ravens sitting with 7,8 wins or less.

Meanwhile, this org just flexes and moves forward (with a little luck) and sits at 13-1

Only half the game. Happy with how the defense plays. Frustrated when our $500m superstar QB who I think is the best football player of all time is playing worse than Alex Smith and also taking the most hits he's ever taken and also getting injured on random 4th and 3 plays when the team is up double digits.

I can be happy with how they've performed in past years and also frustrated with how they're performing currently. They're not mutually exclusive concepts.

It's nuanced, which of course rarely works here.

Being happy that the Chiefs are 13-1 with the chance to threepeat, especially for those of us who remember the darkest times of this franchise? Yes.

Also expressing frustration when watching a generational QB in the prime of his career in an offense that has sputtered for stretches during the past two seasons? Yes.

This is how I feel as well.

I also feel that the Bills are the brick wall we will run into in the AFCCG and the offseason here on CP will be miserable*.

They don't have to be mutually exclusive but they can be.

I'm simply not frustrated at all. I want the 3-peat badly but beyond that, I don't care. They've won 3 Super Bowls. That's 3 more than I ever expected. Nothing they do from here on out will affect me negatively.

Eh, it's possible. But the reality is that, even in our most dominant years, our games vs. the Bills have always been a coin flip. Sure, they're looking better than us this year, but they're also losing games to teams they shouldn't.

To put it another way, do you think Bills fans would be excited about facing the Chiefs in the postseason? Hell no.

I like our chances.

Yeah, count me in the “not happy how we win” category.

Winning is great and ultimately these tight regular season games can end up meaning nothing. The biggest issue for me is that I know that our offense is not performing up to its potential and that frustrates me.

Plus, it really isn’t all that entertaining watching our offense bumble**** around for 53 minutes.

I don't know. Watching this team win over and over like this is exciting. Not a single game has been boring.
