Denver missing the playoffs?
at 10-6.

I was playing with the ESPN playoff machine and found an interesting anomaly - If we win out and finish 13-3 AND

Denver -
W @ Tenn
L vs NE
L @ KC
W vs Oak

to finish 10-6

AND Buffalo -
W vs Pittsburgh
W vs Cleveland
W vs Miami
W@ NYJ

to finish 10-6 which is entirely possible for Buffalo ....

Denver is out - not exactly sure why yet - Denver and Buffalo didn't play head to head - possibly common opponents?

I agree. Miami is without their QB. Baltimore may get to 6 losses tonight. Those are two of the biggest competitors with Denver for that 6th spot.

If Denver loses all 3 to the Pats, KC and Oak... yes, they're without a doubt toast and should be. I don't think they'll lose all 3 though. Granted, the last two weeks haven't been anything to write home about, but home games vs the Patriots and Oakland aren't impossible wins. Not this year.

Right now, DEN and PIT are the wild cards... Ravens need to lose tonight.

PIT has @ CIN, BAL and CLE... can they run the table? Maybe.

MIA at 8-5 and losing Tannehil stings their chances. @ Jets, @ Bills and Patriots

Ravens lose tonight and they stay out of the race. @ Patriots, Eagles, @ Steelers, @ Bengals ... they have a tough 4 remaining (including tonight)

Titans are 7-6 with @ KC, @ Jags and Houston.

So, yeah Denver isn't looking pretty right now on the field, but they're not dead in regards to the playoff race. Granted - I won't expect much from them, esp on the road, which would put them in PIT at this point.

Winning @KC isn't impossible either. Who knows. But it's definitely a tough way to finish the season for Denver.
