Donks were only close in that game due to the Chiefs playing lackadaisical, vanilla mid-season football and beating themselves...that was hardly a serious game-plan. They play down to inferior teams...this is documented. |

Well, they made the play, did they not? How is that different than making any other game winning play? And that version of the team was still incomplete. The version heading into the playoffs is healthy. |

Think about how we felt when our savior Alex Smith took us back to the playoffs after the Pioli years. We were ecstatic. We got talked down to by Bronco fans because they saw that team for what it was: nothing special.
Denver is going through that right now, only it took 3 times longer to get back to the playoffs. So goes on and on this game of ours. |

This would be a huge loss. The work Vance did developing that DL and making their secondary look good is the biggest reason they are this good this season

I guess beating the Chiefs back-ups in the Charity Bowl has put a skip in his step this morning. Enjoy it...it will be a while before the Donks get a schedule like they did in 2024. The main question to ask yourself...will the Donks improve enough in the off-season to actually beat a winning AFC team? |

Close to what… KC level of execution? No they are not there yet and yes, they need to beat winning teams.

The play totally counts and KC did their homework there.

That game happened right after Watson went down, and KC's pass defense was bad for awhile there. Even Bryce Young and O'Connell tore them up. Frankly, I was surprised Denver couldn't do more offensively. Since that game, the Chiefs fixed the LT problem, reduced Nazeeh Johnson's role, got their best edge rusher back, added Hollywood Brown, and got Worthy rolling. Now Watson's coming back. Even if none of these things happened, Playoff Chiefs are a different animal. |

Wasn't making excuses. Excuses aren't needed for wins. The point is that KC is and will be a different team in the postseason. Look at the difference Hollywood Brown alone has made.
The irony though. I don't think DenverFan's ever witnessed a Broncos loss or KC win that wasn't the direct result of refs, injuries or luck. Usually involving players no one's heard of. This year, we were treated to the Legend Of Riley Moss. Cleveland would've scored 30 fewer points if the future HOFer had been available. |
