People that hate our franchise don't have a clue.

Without Lamar Hunt, there may not even be a AFL/AFC.

Be thankful the Hunts exist. Be thankful the Chiefs exist

This is a great video ... it tracks the number of win starting at the merging and going forward by year. So refreshing to have some Broncos TRUTH in this thread. From 1970 thru 75, Broncos are missing completely from the top 15 or so teams listed up the left side there. Then we peek in in 1974, pass the Chiefs late in 1976, and shortly thereafter ascend into the Top 10, where Broncos have remained (frequently as high as #4).

Chiefs have not caught up since we passed them in 1976, after we had shaken off the inequity of economics in the AFL.

ANYHOO ... enough bragging, I'm sure you can't wait to see this video:

You went from top of the mountain, to the bottom of the barrel overnight. Just be happy the shield gave Manning a going away present, or you wouldn’t even have that to hang your hat on.

Except that you aren't the one posting hardly anything in the way of Donkeys truth in this thread -- it is us that have been posting it in abundance & you can't stomach it because it obliterates your Donktard mythology that you're trying to peddle.

Here's another truth regarding what dick-faced Bowlen was really saying when he held up the fraudulent SB trophy & said "This one's for John". It goes like this:

"This FRAUDULENT one was gifted to John, because John wasn't good enough to earn a legit SB trophy in legit fashion on a level playing field, as evidenced by Super Bowls 21, 22, and 24 where John played like a girl & got his buck-toothed head handed to him when John did have the chance to earn a SB in legit fashion. And let us not forget that John, this 1997 season rode the coat-tails of a ridiculously easy schedule, the most horribly biased officiating going in our Donkeys favor unparalelled in football history, and Terrell Davis racking up massive rushing numbers behind an O-Line that was repeatedly allowed to get away with massive holding, illegal chop-blocks, leg-whips and even wearing Vaseline-like substance on their jerseys, in addition to cheating and violating the salary cap. But even with that..this one's for our 2nd-tier, buck-toothed, turd-out-of-the back pocket-pulling QB named John."

It is but Denver has a top 7 OL, and top 5 defense. They also have a better coach 🤢, and a bit of an easier schedule. Chicago has a bottom third OL, and defense. Wins and losses don’t tell the story of the rookie quarterbacks.

And, after you posted your Broncos-Chiefs comparisons including the AFL years and AFL games, you said this:

Problem is, you continued to include AFL totals in your breakdowns! I realize it must be very tempting to slip in that 19-1 record against Denver, obviously you need those numbers.

So I’m gonna state again the facts I posted, taken from that YouTube video, which wisely compared apples to apples:

1. Broncos total NFL wins trailed Kansas City first few years after the merger
2. In 1976, the Broncos passed the Texans/Chiefs in total wins for the first time, after 6 years in NFL
3. The Texans/Chiefs have never to this date caught back up with Denver in total NFL wins
4. Since joining the NFL, the Broncos have climbed as high as #4 in wins, and are tied for second in SB appearances with 8 (8 appearances in four separate spans, or mini-eras, not one big explosion after a 48 year drought).
5. Here is a screen shot of total wins up to date. Chiefs trail by 22 wins – the closest they’ve been in 44 years:

Some additional Broncos records:

1. Broncos hold the longest home sellout streak in the League. In fact, there has never been a ticket for sale to an NFL game in Denver after Wednesday of game week. Never.*
2. Broncos held the longest consecutive year streaks of being scheduled on MNF, and placing at least one player in the Pro Bowl.
3. According to NBC Sports, the Broncos have been featured in national TV games more often than any other team (this record goes thru 2020 at least; and is partly due to the fact that Denver is one of the few teams that has their home games scheduled in the late doubleheader window).

Let me explain something to you that have apparently overlooked. Both the Chiefs and the Broncos were AFL teams. Comparisons of the 2 from the date of inception of the AFL is valid because both teams played in the same league. This is a comparison of the Chiefs and Broncos. If the Broncos began operations at a different time than the Chiefs, it might be valid to use a different date for the beginning of any such comparison, but that is not the case.

Since the Broncos and Chiefs both began operations at the same time in 1960, that should be the start date of any comparison of the franchises.

The Broncos come up short in comparison to the Chiefs, so you want to jigger the statistics to generate results that feel better to you. We're on to that lie. Try something else.

1980 totals, 4 years after the Broncos passed KC in total NFL wins. Chiefs aren't listed among the Top 15-20 up the left side of this screen shot, but the Broncos had opened up at least a 15 game lead by 1980, seeing that Denver leads the Eagles - the last visible team listed on the left, by 15.

By the end of the decade, the Broncos had 166 wins, and if you look closer, you can see the Chiefs peeking up into the list on the left side with 125 wins, 41 less than Denver.

By year 2000, the Chiefs were right behind the Broncos in total wins - but they're not as close as that looks. Denver still led KC by 36 wins

End of the next decade, Broncos jumped up to tie the Vikings for 4th most wins with 355 - now 57 wins ahead of KC.

2020, and KC is really closing the gap between themselves and the Broncos, now trailing by just 44 wins.

And, as posted above, by 2024, the Broncos lead was just 22 total NFL wins ahead of Kansas City

Here's an idea, TRY USING ACTUAL NFL RECORDS RATHER THAN YOUTUBE! The NFL includes AFL competition in their official records, just like they use old NFL competition against defunct teams. All NFL games against franchises like the Providence Steamroller, the Akron Pros, and the Milwaukee Badgers still count in the official NFL records.

Furthermore, in case you haven't noticed, THE BRONCOS WERE AN AFL TEAM!! Their inability to get their shit together for the first 15 years of existence does not get a pass. Every game they played counts, so go back and count every game.

Quit being such a jerkoff and insisting on your own time frame and opinion of which games should count when the NFL itself looks at ALL GAMES.

Doesn't matter to the average NFL fan.
