BTW, I don't think HGH was illegal when he had his last neck surgery in early 2011, not until later that year. And, if it was a legitimate and necessary medical treatment for his neck, the League would waive the prohibition in his case, at least during his recovery. The problem was they finally started TESTING for it late in 2014.

Now. Along those lines, one of you recently called these Chiefs the "greatest team ever." Well, they might soon take the crown as the greatest DYNASTY ever - though the 1970s Steelers (4-1 in SBs over six years); the 90s Cowboys (3-0 in SBs in four years); and the 2010s Patriots (3-2 in SBs + three AFCCGs in eight years) all retain persuasive arguments.

Definitely true, yes. He had several epic seasons there, and your recounting the physical nature of the passing game back then makes me wonder how he blew the doors off every defense in the League with Smurf WRs like Mark Duper and Mark Clayton.

I wonder if Donko fans can rap their heads around the speed of Manning's decline...of course they cant, the truth would put them in an awkward position.

His last "HGH" fueled season...

2014 395 for 597 66.2% 4727 yards 39 TDs (2nd most yards of his career and 3rd most TDs)

He played one more season were he could barely throw a duck...32nd ranked QB. HGH testing started in earnest that year.

Then retired...

So one season removed from throwing for almost 5000 yards and 39 TDs...he quits?

Like I said..no decline has happened like this in NFL history for a QB...they gradually fade out like Roethlisberger, Brady, Rivers, Favre, Montana...they dont just lose their ability to throw a football overnight.

I do think Athletes that suffer a career threatening injury should be able to use HGH to repair the damage...once healed they need to be tested weekly for the remainder of their careers.

The problem was Manning enjoyed his new found "fountain of youth"...and HGH was banned. A 28% + production increase in an already HOF career is no joke. His options were retire or cheat...he chose the latter. I am curious how much influence Horseface played in this ruse...it's just too similar to how the end of his career went down.

Really? You suspect the team IS involved in the "ship it to your place in your wife's name" plan? Honestly seems pretty clear to me that's the perfect example of a plan the team was NOT part of.

No! You should read up on the news here... It wasn't a pay cut, Elway made a deal to defer some of his salary, because the team was trying to pay off improvements to their practice facility and there was a cash shortage, so Manning obliged by deferring some of his money.
