"Colin Cowherd compares Chiefs to waste management and he’s kinda right"

Colin Cowherd compares Chiefs to waste management and he’s kinda right

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2016/1...-s-kinda-right

Colin Cowherd has a comparison for the Kansas City Chiefs that is actually a good one. The Chiefs are the waste management company of the NFL.

“If you met a guy at the waste management party, he could be the most successful guy but it’s not something you’er really interested in or would ever want to talk about. Why I bring this up is the Kansas City Chiefs are the waste management business in the NFL. It dominates its industry.

“Nobody wants to talk about it. You’d never talk about it at a cocktail party. Outside of Kansas City, you’d never go up to anybody and say, “Hey ,what about the Chiefs?” You’d go what about the Patriots, man I hate Aaron Rodgers, man I love Cam, Andrew Luck’s overrated, how ‘bout them raiders. Nobody goes, ‘What about the Chiefs?’

“The Kansas CityChiefs are boring and unbelievably effective. They’re not interesting and nobody talks about them. They are now the best team in a very sexy AFC West. John Elway, Von Miller, Broncos! Nope. Derek Carr, resurgent Raiders! Nope.

“Kansas City is a Super Bowl level team. I know you’re going to say, what about Alex Smith? He has won 60 of his last 84 starts, that’s 71 percent. That’s a higher winning percentage than Bill Parcells had as a head coach. Andy Reid’s last 10 years. Nine winning seasons. You don’t want to talk about that either.

“When you add Tyreek Hill, when you add Travis Kelce, when you add Andy Reid and when you add this defense, most of which you don’t know these guys, that’s a Super Bowl level team. That doesn’t mean they’re going to get there, doesn’t mean they’re going to win it. This is the business nobody wants to talk about.”

Bonus quote: “Outside of Bill Belichick, Andy Reid is the best coach in the AFC.”

All this hype will stop after this weekend I'm afraid. I guess Cowherd didn't realize we lost our PB MLB and Murray and Henry will deposit our waste of a run defense in the NFL dump. Sorry guys. It will be ugly.

Only real chance we have is if Andy opens up the playbook so that we can at least replicate somewhat of a run offense. Kelce and Hill time once again !!

He threw the ball 100 more times than Smith and with that managed 500 more passing yards....whoopity doo!

This year Carr appears to have taken a step forward....and been outplayed in head to head matchups by Alex Smith both times they've met. And frankly, it's been a walk both times. Smith played much MUCH better football than Carr in those two games.

**** that - Carr's done nothing to earn any mantle yet. Oh sure, he might. And he's probably more likely to do so than Smith. But this ****ing season-long coronation of Carr is garbage.
And because

ain't sexy enough for the media...

+1

Plus the fact that KC is not a 'coast' team or Dallas/Green Bay.

Ironically nobody talks about Cowherd at cocktail parties because it is considered a waste. The KC Chiefs are a small market team that never gets talked about by the majority of Americans at cocktail parties? Bold take old chap, I can see why you make the big bucks!

It's kind of funny to call the Chiefs a boring team considering how dramatic so many of their games have been this year.

He's right, y'know.

Andy Reid is a damn good coach. There might be some guys in the conversation with him, but nobody in the entire league has a clear argument as better than Reid apart from Belichick.
I'd probably take Harbaugh out of Baltimore and Carroll out of Seattle.

Also -- and I know this guy has a shitty overall track record -- but I really do like Bruce Arians.

Did anybody talk about the Royals from 2014 through 2015? They had a lot of sexiness to them even though they weren't a power hitting killer starting pitching team.

I think it's about style. The Chiefs offense doesn't put up points. They play bend don't break defense. Their explosive guys are a TE and a rookie who is just now getting pub in the NFL. That's why they're considered boring

Two of those guys are NFC. I'd make case for Tomlin. Kubiak just won the Super Bowl. Reid has one playoff win for us. Better than the last few guys we had but let's settle down.

I know one thing. This team would be a lot more exciting with a fully healthy Jamaal Charles. Ware has done a great job but Charles is a once in a generation talent at RB

The running game would be vastly improved had Ehinger not suffered an ACL tear.

We have a relatively boring offense, and one franchise playoff win in 388 years. We're going to have to show more than regular season winning streaks before the sporting world really takes notice. Let's not act like we haven't had several very similar looking teams in the past couple decades who've completely flopped in the post season.
