Story #1:
Charles Ross is known for orchestrating outrageous pranks and posting them to Youtube. But this time, the 18-year-old prankster may have gone a step too far.

Ross was arrested for battery Sunday night after he allegedly gave a series of wedgies to moviegoers outside the Carmike Royal Palm 20 in Bradenton, Fla., while a friend filmed the prank, the Bradenton Herald reports.

The underwear prank, which Gawker calls a "wedgie spree," ended badly for Ross when a 20-year-old male victim reported to authorities that Ross grabbed him "by the back of his pants and pulled them up hard," according to the Smoking Gun. Although other victims of the schoolyard prank also came forward, the 20-year-old is the only one seeking charges.

On his Youtube channel, Ross has uploaded video footage of him performing a variety of pranks -- from doing handstands over people to trying out pick-up lines -- but the latest in his compilation is by far one of his most hands-on public displays.

According to the police report obtained by the Smoking Gun, Ross challenged the male victim following the wedgie, "asking if he wanted to hit him."

The Mantee County Sheriff's Office arrested Ross and detained him overnight. He was released on $750 bail, records show, and his court date is set for Feb. 14.

Though Ross' wedgie spree was meant in jest, this is not the first time someone has been arrested for doling out the uncomfortable underwear gag. In 2006, an Albany, N.Y., teacher was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly giving a 10-year-old student a wedgie during summer school.

Story #2:
'A' for effort?
Middle school math teacher Mary Maloney allegedly offered oral sex to a police officer after being nabbed for a hit-and-run in Palm Beach County, Fla.

Maloney, 53, was arrested Sunday after she crashed her van into a pickup truck around 8:35 p.m., then took off, according to an arrest report obtained by the Sun Sentinel. A witness to the crash tracked Maloney's car to a parking spot and then called police.

The arresting officer said he found an empty gallon jug of wine behind Maloney's driver's seat and "immediately smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her person," according to WPTV. The report states that her eyes were glassy, bloodshot, and partially closed.
The officer that drove Maloney to the police station noted that she asked him "How much do I need to pay you to just let me go? Don't you understand I am a school teacher?"

She then allegedly offered to perform oral sex on him and allow him to fondle her breasts.

Maloney was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with damage, resisting an officer without violence, driving with a suspended license and attempted bribery of a public servant.

They never made a murder case, but the scrutiny led to convictions and jail time for unrelated accounting/fraud-style crimes [ie, small time mafia type shit, racketeering and such].
When he got out of jail, he eventually remarried
Recent improvements in DNA testing lef to retesting of old evidence this year.
The DNA tests proved that the women he married after he got out of jail was the original killer.
No info yet if the dad was involved in the original plot, or the unwitting object of a murderous crush.

Two Florida women who became friends after meeting at a drug-treatment program were arrested after overdosing on heroin in an SUV with their 1-month-old and 2-month-old babies in the backseat, police said.

Kristen Leigh O’Connor, 27, of Coral Springs and June Ann Schweinhart, 28, of Lake Worth, were charged with child neglect after they were released from the hospital, police in Boynton Beach, Fla., said.

“This is an incredibly tragic situation and ultimately, the ones most affected by this are those innocent, beautiful babies,” Boynton Beach police said in a Facebook post announcing the arrests. “We hope this serves as a wake-up call for these moms, and that they seek further treatment for their addiction. We sincerely wish them all the best.”

Family members of the two women took custody of the newborns.

Police said O’Connor and Schweinhart went to a parking garage Thursday to snort heroin in the company of the two babies. They bought the heroin from a drug dealer for $60.

Schweinhart called 911 when O’Connor began to overdose but then she started convulsing, police said.

“Fortunately, there was a Good Samaritan nearby who saw all of this happening and took the phone from her to speak with dispatchers,” Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said in the Facebook post.

Cops found the babies strapped in their car seats, the Palm Beach Post reported.

At the hospital, O’Connor told police she and Schweinhart knew each other from a drug treatment program and decided to “hang out” on Thursday, the paper reported.

O'Connor also told police she and Schweinhart became friends because their babies were due the same day, according to the paper. The infants were born four days apart.

O’Connor was released on $4,500 bond, the paper reported. Schweinhart was being held in lieu of $3,000 bail.

A judge told O’Connor she can only see her baby if her mother is present, according to the paper.

Schweinhart was told that if she makes bail she can have contact with her baby if another adult is present.

PASCO COUNTY, Fl. —
A murder turned into a shootout with deputies Thursday after authorities say the deceased gunman, 30-year-old Brian Disario, shot and killed his mother's friend, 56-year-old David Armstrong.

Disario reportedly believed Armstrong was hitting on his imaginary girlfriend. Disario has a history of mental illness.

Authorities then say Disario fired at deputies, and caused a nearby elementary school to go into lockdown after he pointed a gun in that direction.

Investigators are now trying to figure out how Disario was able to get a hold of all the guns he had.

PENSACOLA, Fla. — A 325-pound (150-kilogram) Florida woman is charged with killing her 9-year-old cousin by sitting on the child as punishment.

Veronica Green Posey, 64, was arrested and charged with homicide and cruelty toward a child, The Pensacola News Journal reported. The Escambia County Sheriff's Office report identified Posey as the girl's cousin.

Paramedics and deputies responded to the family's Pensacola home following a 911 call Saturday. Posey told deputies she sat on Dericka Lindsay as discipline "for being out of control."

During the punishment, Dericka told Posey and two other adult relatives, who are identified in the report as the girl's parents, that she couldn't breathe. When Posey got up, Dericka wasn't breathing. Authorities said Posey called 911 and started CPR on the child.

The arrest report said Grace Joan Smith, 69, and James Edmund Smith, are charged with child neglect.

Grace Smith called Posey, who is her niece, to her house to help with disciplining the girl, according to the report. She told investigators that Posey hit the girl with a ruler and metal pipe before the child ran to an armchair.

James Smith told investigators that Posey sat on the girl for about 10 minutes before she complained she couldn't breathe. She stayed on the chair for an additional two minutes before getting up, he said.

Mike Carroll, secretary of the Florida Department of Children and Families, issued a statement that called the child's death "appalling." He said the agency will work with the sheriff's office to hold those responsible for her death accountable.

"As the family has a prior interaction with the child welfare system, a thorough quality assurance review will be conducted to review all prior interactions this family has had with the child welfare system," the statement said.

Posey was released Monday on $125,000 bail. The Smiths remained in jail, with Grace Smith's bond set at $75,000 and James Smith's bond at $50,000. Escambia County jail records didn't list an attorney for Posey or the Smiths.

It was around 1:50 a.m. Thursday when Stephanie L. Hicks, 31,walked into a 7-Eleven store in Melbourne to buy a sandwich and a cup of nacho cheese, the Palm Bay Daily reported. The cashier told Hicks not to open the cheese dispenser, but the hungry woman ignored her request.
Hicks proceeded to open it anyway and went up to pay for her items, only to be denied service by the employee. That’s when Hicks launched the sandwich and hot nacho cheese across the counter at the clerk.
As the food traveled through the air, Hicks yelled: “The customer is always right.”
