People on Reddit actually were complaining that Karlaftis’ last sack should have been a ‘body weight’ RTP lol

People see what they want to see.

How soon people forget about Brady cleating Ed Reed in the groin against the Ravens....and yet Mahomes' flop somehow should result in the death penalty

Doesn't matter what argument you make they just hate on you and not believe that those were legit penalties. It's ok to screw over the Chiefs by they're hypocritical standards.

This whole thing is nonsense.

You want to know why the Texans lost?

They scored TWELVE ****ING POINTS. That's why they ****ing lost.

You're not winning a play-off game scoring twelve ****ing points.

Make your field goals, make your extra points, score a few touchdowns, and maybe you can win.

But not scoring TWELVE.

Yes, I know it's technically fourteen, but we literally gifted them two points to kill a few seconds and get a free kick. Or, you know, 1/6 of their game long total.

Both were called exactly like the league wants the rules enforced. I do think a lot of the problem with the 2nd is that it was a late slide. But a lot of people want to pretend that his helmet did not hit with both with another helmet and forearm to the head.

They will just accuse Simms of being in the take. There is absolutely no appetite for the truth here. They HAVE to believe it's rigged, it's the only way they can cope.

Lots of people saw it. But by that time, they weren't going to believe anything else.

Really disappointed in Sam Monson. He's buying the kool aid of the ref conspiracy. The head of NFL refereeing even was interviewed and they said both plays reviewed and they agreed with both penalties by the letter of the law. In real time its difficult to not call the foul and then if you review it there was technically helmet to helmet so you cant pick anything up. First one was definitely a foul, second one in real time is almost impossible to not call.

Conspiracy theories are horseshit but to the casual fan, Patrick gets kissed and falls down and he draws flags. Last weeks game he ran out of bounds and a defender touched him and Mahomes did a flop that European soccer players would applaud. No flags and I think PM was even smiling as he got up lol. I dont blame him for scratching every yard he can.....its football.

Football is similar to baseball regarding refs/umps in that two games get two very different calls. Mahomes gets pushed a second after a throw and yellow flags are everywhere in one game.....in another game Jackson gets demolished 2 seconds after a throw and no flags....

Its easy to see why casual fans say "WTF?"

The second one, Patrick had time to let up and slide. The defenders didn’t make any attempt to let up and came in spearing head first. Only thing that would have been perfect is if the Texans had injured each other. They are lucky they didn’t.

Here's what the national shows and podcasts I consumed today had to say about the game:

The Ringer NFL podcast: refs refs refs, what else is there to say, Chiefs are good, it's boring

GMFB: soms refs

Around the Horn: REFS

PTI: REFS!!!!!

****ing annoying.

Thank God Nick Wright is out there to stick up for us.
