This is so insane considering one of those penalties was on a first down. It would have been 2nd and 6 without it. People really think Mahomes wouldn't have kept the drive moving regardless?

Just hoping that the NFL doen't feel the need to act on proving a point, and decide that an abundance of penalties should be called on the Chiefs going forward.

Well somethings not right. Magichef told us all that the reason we won is because Taylor Swift led us to victory. I'm confused now. Did Taylor buy the refs? I can't keep up with all these conflicting reasons why we won.

Many of us know from past experiences that it can happen. This guy also understood this.

He's right. It all falls under the same umbrella. The ****ing player's and coaches are bitching about it, so they definitely can't take the responsibility and no shit the fans aren't playing the games. It still falls under the can't take responsibility for their own failures umbrella.

The line was 8.5 earlier the week, then it drifted to 9.5. So the only people who got screwed are the ones who jumped on the bandwagon late in the week as the line got worse. IE - the people went all in on the Pets.com IPO.

People grow weary of dynasties when it isn't their team(s).

That is what it comes down to.

Photo and statistical evidence are irrelevant to those with emotional and already made-up minds.

I watched nearly every game this weekend and saw bad and missed calls galore. It was the same way in 1935, the same way in 1955, the same way in 1975, 1985, 1995, 2005, and 2015. And it will be that way in 2035.

But the 1980s were supposedly a golden age of NFL play.

Fans have complained about the refs since the dawn of time.

Fun fact: College refs in the 1920s were hired by the coaches themselves. Lots of questionable calls back then. Coaches learned to work the ref system or failed.

The difference now is there's social media. It affects sports, politics, everything. People post videos and create hype around bad penalty calls in a way that couldn't be done in the 80s. Almost creates a different reality. There are ton of people on Twitter, not just random idiots but people that actually cover the sport and get paid for it, fantasy football writers, etc. who are pushing this narrative now. Just creates a snowball effect. That's something even Brady and Manning didn't have to deal with early in their careers.
