I coach high school kids. "No cap" has entered my vocabulary with them. Also, I'd bet a quick search on urban dictionary would've further solved this before this thread opened back up.

I don't think this is a 100% dead issue.
There's a chance they decide to go young and save the money, he's already shown interest in KC and a willingness to take an extremely fair contract. He's still in the back of my mind as one of the most likely vets to join KC for our run at a 3-peat. No Cap! |

He specifically said,”would rather have Mooney,” Which is just hilariously ridiculous. Considering Mooney discretely, okay. As an either/or; just no.

Nice. In before MahomesMagic bumps this thread in October to remind us that we could've gotten a "cheap vet" like Hopkins for peanuts if we had asked nicely!

I'm so sick of hearing about ****ing Hopkins. He's not going to be a Chief. Get over it.

Yay, Mooney is 26. And caught less than 500 yds and like 1’TD. Basically barely functional. Hopkins, the old guy, went 1000+ yds and 8 TDs? If this were the choice only a Moron would take the young ineffective guy over the older top-tier player. Not that it matters, because Hopkins isn’t going to be a Chief.

are we actually going to be able to sign any of the decent/good free agent WRs? The priority has to be keeping Jones and Sneed and then how is the cap looking?

They aren’t going to release Hopkins when he’s a trusted target for Leviis.
KC wouldn’t be interested, anyway. |

Can we all agree it's time to let Hopkins to the Chiefs is something we no longer want?
Hopkins had his chance last year to go to a winning team and he chose poorly. I no longer see the need for him....and would prefer we chase someone in the draft. |
