Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I may have to just have to say screw it and do it..I keep thinking about buying a .300 Blackout upper and getting subsonic rounds with a suppressor and just having fun all day with that

I think I remember reading that the ATF had like a huge jump up in paperwork like the last month or something so it has doubled time on most..or maybe someone told me that

Hey I got a question for you guys..how many of you carry everyday or most days and what is it you carry

Where do you put your holster..is it inside the waistband or out

Do you carry extra rounds..what rounds do you prefer

I carry a full size 1911 Remington R1 Enhanced most days and others I have a modified Springfield XDS

I use Aliengear holsters and they are inside the waistband

I carry 1 extra mag for each pistol and I use Hornady Self Defense rounds

My main carry is my .45 H&K USP Compact. I carry it in a Galco Kingtuk IWB holster and also use go with the Hornady Critical Defense rounds. I need to break down and get an additional holster for a spare mag, I just haven't done so yet.

I have the same set up for a full-size Kimber that I will occasionally carry but, that mostly stays by the bed.

Stock right now. That means not yet set. I'll worry about that in about 1000 more rounds.

And thanks.

I just bought a single mag pouch I carry on my belt opposite hip for each gun

I found over the years it is much easier to drop my left hand down to the same side grab a magazine and reload after engaging a target one last time with a single hand then reloading

But each person has their own style

Holster on outside and I like my CZ-P01 9MM compact. I view it as a semi-compact actually and is the size of gun I like to carry to be honest and the grip feels nice and am comfortable with the trigger pull.

The bullets vary right now I have Blazer Brass rounds in it now from when I was at the firing range.

Oh yeah, when I finally get around to it, the mag holster will absolutely be on my left [opposite] side.

I use a couple of IWB holsters - but I absolutely love the Alien Gear Cloak Mod 3.0 GREAT IWB Holster and an even better company to work with. They also make the "big foot" gun belts - I suggest you check them out, best gun belt I have ever used. I also have a shoulder rig from Kirkpatrick Leather that I LOVE for carry during the cold months.

I carry a variety of guns (given the day) from a Bersa Thunder to a Sig Sauer P220 or even the SP2022 to a Walther PPK. I have "tried" to carry my 1911 - but honest to God - it's just too much gun for concealed carry - not that it can't be concealed, it can - but more so because it's heavy as hell.

I don't normally carry extra mags, except with the shoulder rig.

My daily carry right now is a Ruger LCRx in a Bianchi Piranha loaded with Hornady Critical Defense rounds. In my pocket I carry a speedloader with S&W Nyclads +Ps. I also have some older Winchester metal piercing rounds for it. When I do carry my full size Kimber 1911 with a light jacket I have a Galco SOB holster I like and under a heavier jacket I use an old shoulder rig given to me from my uncle. I usually carry one extra mag in pocket. I've been eyeballing this. Just waiting for a good sale on it. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/w...layErrorView_Y

I don't carry that often. I usually keep my Smith and Wesson M&P Shield on my night stand.. but if I'm going fishing, going on a long trip, or going to some shithole like Topeka I'll toss it in my car, or backpack that i carry all my fishing stuff in.
