****OFFICIAL Chiefs vs 49ers Super Bowl LVIII Game Thread****

Lombardi and Starr.

Noll and Bradshaw.

Walsh and Montana.

Johnson and Aikman.

Belichick and Brady.

Reid and Mahomes.

Today, the Kansas City Chiefs complete the greatest five-year run in NFL history by winning the third Super Bowl in the Patrick Mahomes era, and the fourth in the franchise's glorious history.

Today, we become an undeniable dynasty.

As someone once said...let's do this shit.

Wow. ****ing warrior.

Reid does an amazing job adding depth to this O line...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Not sure why he would say that it's better in every way possible to be there.
It seems like a lot of players that leave the Chiefs have some sort of bitterness towards them. I think they realize how special this team is and don’t want to leave, but have to and that sticks with them. It’s like they want to be paid, but paid by this team vs another.

The difference between good and great teams is depth. We lose an All Pro guard and still plug in someone else who steps up. That is only one position amongst many on this team. KC wins despite injuries because of depth while other teams can’t overcome them.

rewatching the game again, when the 49ers make the FG in OT, absolutely no cheering from any fans... They knew that was a death nail.

Even their sideline and the REFS knew it

I wonder if Trent Williams is regretting his choice to stay with the Niners. The Chiefs offered him a strong amount of money. Factor in the crazy cost of living in San Francisco. He would have at least 2 rings if he went to Kansas City. And I’m not sure the money is that much better for him with the Niners.

Even in regulation, when the Chiefs took the final possession, the 49ers looked shook. There was a shot of CMC where, if you hadn't known they just took a 19-16 lead with 1:53 remaining, you'd have thought they were down two scores instead. He looked so defeated.

Even with 16 seconds left in regulation, the 49ers just couldn't rest.. It's pretty wild to watch, in tight games, the psychological effect that
Mahomes having the ball last has on opponents

I think SF would have fared a lot better if Purdy had that killer instinct. Just looking at the Mic'd up of the 49ers, it seemed as if the moment was too big for him. He looked like he was hoping that someone else would make a play to win the game, and it wasn't just him on the Niners. I honestly like Purdy and wish him well in his NFL career (just not against KC lol).

The Raiders were the biggest hated rival in the AFC West. No one knows how Chargers fans feel. Though a Chargers fan did stab a Raiders fan at a game. Anyway

KC Chiefs may have just taken that away from them, in their stadium

Wow Deebo looks like he’s expecting the game to end right there.

And I love Reid on mic’d up after the Moody field goal in regulation saying “you really think that’s enough.”
