These years of dominance have taught me that, except in very rare instances when a terrible call happens at the very end of a game, there's no such thing as getting ****ed by the refs. Both sides will have plenty of calls and non-calls to complain about, and the difference between winning and losing is simply making enough plays to overcome them. No team is better at that than the Chiefs (who have actually had to overcome more bad penalty luck/disparity than any other team since 2018, according to the data), and so fans of other teams simply don't have the privilege of that perspective.

The Texans failed in part because they let two borderline (but wholly justifiable by the letter of the law) calls in the first half get in their heads. That doesn't happen to the Chiefs. Doesn't matter if a touchdown gets called back on a ticky-tack holding call. Doesn't matter if they lose a challenge on something that looks an awful lot like a catch. They just go back out there and win anyway.

I know this much. Mahomes isn't getting a roughing call unless it's really bad.

For the conference championships and Super Bowl it's an all-star crew so it shouldn't be his regular group. It'll be a mix of different guys.

That said, Blakeman's crew led the league in penalties called. We'll see how that plays out with this group. The only thing I'm really worried about is things like Taylor lining up at RT. He'll need to avoid getting sloppy lining up.

It would not have mattered one iota if the RTP was not called on Chris Jones for being in the vicinity of Tom Brady. It would have been game over, end of story.

That's a good point. He seems to be moving early often without getting called most of the time.

Not thrilled with the choice, but if the Chiefs play the way they are capable of, it won't ****ing matter.

The thing is every tackle does the exact same thing. Buffalos left tackle moves early and don’t even get me started on lane Johnson.
