THIGPEN AS THE STARTER

To compare Thigpen to others as if he had been the starter in the spread offense from the first game (extrapolating out his current stats) he'd have 3,375 yard on 288 completions from 490 attempts (for a completion percentage of 58.8%). He'd also have 25 TDs against 13 INTs and a passer rating of 85.71.

That would rank him as the number 9 or 10 passer in terms of passing yardage, number 6 for TDs thrown, and number 17 for passer rating.

Don't understand why others don't think he's played well enough to be the starter. He's a rookie -- give him some time (and some better coaches) to improve his game.

I'm not sold on Thigpen, but I still don't think he's the problem for this team. If you saw Chad last week, he was able to sit on a lead. Thigpen can NEVER do that. He has too much pressure on him for a very young and inexperienced QB. We should never throw the ball that much with such a young QB. Look how the Ravens are using Flacco. That's the right way to nurture a young QB, especially when you have an AMAZING RB like LJ (Shown again today, and once again, underutilized).
