*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****
IT ****ING HAPPENED
OP UPDATE: Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! Last edited by Dante84; 05-17-2017 at 09:40 AM.. |

No they won't. They will be back to saying he is carried by the refs, Andy, Spags, "luck" and whatever else. The Chiefs success has nothing to do with Mahomes according to the haters out there.

PM15 can be Tiger (who didn't win as many majors - akin to Super Bowls) but was such a better player and it isn't close. Just like PM15 is way more athletically gifted than Brady (Brady's words, not mine). Now what is ironic about this comparison is Jack Nicklaus is / was a way better person off the course than Tiger (by miles)...and that is what PM15 is compared to Brady (just a way better person in general), but the media continues to beat PM15 down. Brady is Nicklaus on the field / course compared to Tiger (PM15), but off the course it is the reverse (PM15 is Nicklaus and Brady is Tiger). |

Brady's mythology is even more out of control than MJ (who actually was the best player in his sport for over a decade). |

This isn't a Jack Nicklaus resume. The amount of stinkers in there where the Patriots lost to inferior teams is incredible. |

I feel blessed to watch my favorite team play in so many Superbowls. Do you know how much I would have loved that in the 90's/2000's when my energy and fandom was at maximum level? |

Yes, Jack had more power than most in his era (stood out to the likes like Sam Snead and Palmer who also could hit it a mile and take advantage of par 5s like Jack and Jack made some darn good putts over his career to win the most majors), but nothing like Tiger. Tiger still to this day did things on the course like you see PM15 doing on the football field that no one else could do (guys like Allen, Burrow, and Jackson would be akin to Phil...great but just a tad short to Tiger). BTW, I do think PM15 needs to bring some magic back into his play if he wants to win another SB (it is like he has been coached out of some of his magic by Nagy / Reid). |

They've played more games, and more BIG games than anyone else for like 5 years running. I think they just emptied the tank against Buffalo. |

How much can Patrick defer and reallocate from his contract next season to help us get an LT (and maybe a Willie Gay reunion) and account for the 26m we’re about to pay Thuney?

I usually don’t post on here, but today, I just need to get this off my chest. After the game, my entire social media feed has been flooded with nothing but hate for Mahomes, and honestly, I don’t get it. It’s exhausting to see people tear down someone who has consistently proven himself as a winner and a leader. Why is there so much animosity toward a guy who does everything right?
He’s not just a great athlete—he’s an inspiration to kids, a role model on and off the field. He works hard, carries himself with class, and has brought so much excitement and joy to the game. What more could people possibly want? It’s baffling that someone at the top of their game can still attract so much negativity. I genuinely hope the Chiefs win the next Super Bowl, and Mahomes walks away with another MVP. Not just because he deserves it, but because it would be the ultimate response to all the unwarranted criticism. |
