Feel bad for Thuney. He should not have been placed in this job. Maybe they should have given Donovan Smith a chance. The experiment with Kingsley, Wanya, and Humphries was an epic failure that forced Thuney & Caliendo into a bad spot.

It defies all logic. Of all the moves to get worked by as a G playing T, the common bullrush is what got him repeatedly???

The last drive of Super Bowl 58 was one of the greatest drives in Super Bowl history. Patrick conducted a symphony with Andy giving him the playsheets.

We just got beat in 59. It happens.

Longest rushing play of the season only being 34 yards is pathetic.

I woke up sad. But I'm essentially over it now.

It's really hard to make it to the Super Bowl. Ask any fan of a team who has never seen their team play in one. There's a lot of them out there.

We've seen 5 Super Bowl appearances and 3 wins with Mahomes at QB. 10 years ago I'd have given my left nut to see us win a playoff game.

We got absolutely demolished yesterday by a great football team. That should be a motivating factor for every player that returns next season, and surely will be.

A year from now we very well may be talking about seeing our team play in 6 Super Bowls and winning 4 of them.

Nah, I'm getting progressively more pissed as time goes on. Eagles were a fantastic team but the Chiefs are too and they played their worst game of perhaps the Mahomes era with a ton of self inflicted bullshit. This game at the very least should've been competitive with a real chance to win.

It's the shorter arms, outside he was letting guys get to his chest so the Eagles literally just had their guys run straight through him.

On the inside he used technique, not power to beat bull rushes, he doesn't have that technique outside and the guys he's facing are superior athletes.

Also if you watch some clips, that have guys wide and standing they're at full speed when they get to Thuney, he's overmatched by that.

He got caught in between.

Because yeah, you'd think a G could handle the bull-rush better than anything else he'd have to deal with.

But Thuney isn't your conventional mauler guard. He's a technician. And ultimately when he's out there wide trying to protect against speed, he just seemed to start overthinking. The next thing you knew he was looking really tentative.

And here's where Thuney's robotic nature may have hurt him. For a lot of players, especially IOL, they'll just get MAD in a situation like that and be looking for some hulk-smash shit. They'll just start trying to punish guys.

Thuney doesn't really have that gear. At the time I said "Have some pride, guys -- Jesus" but I don't think it was a lack of pride. It was a lack of anger. Thuney's just not a guy that gets mad out there and in that situation, you kinda needed it. You needed to see a guy that got pissed of and said "Okay, I've had enough of that shit"...

Or maybe it really was little more than not having the length to keep those guys from getting straight to his chest. But you'd have thought he'd at LEAST have started looking to attack forward at contact rather than continue to wait, react and get driven backwards.

Yeah - they need to re-set the RB room.

You just can't let teams completely ignore your running game. You have to have someone that presents a credible threat to break one.

Maybe a healthy Pacheco is that guy but I kinda doubt it.

This draft is loaded at RB. Time for us to add one and upgrade the offense.

I don't know what Perine did but Mahomes wanted absolutely nothing to do with him during the post game dap ups. Super awkward.

Watch highlights of the Week 2 Bengals win this year. Pop was a completely different guy. Decisive, quick, and could cut through into the second level in an instant.

We never got that Pop back after the injury. I hate how much that mirrors what happened after CEH’s lower body injuries, but hopefully an offseason of rest gives him that burst back.

I saw that video going around of Mahomes giving Perine the cold shoulder. Hoping it was an angle or out of context thing (maybe he had already talked to Perine, for instance), because woof - if Mahomes did choose to ignore him there definitely was some kind of beef there.

I seriously doubt that considering Perine hopped up to get one and Mahomes just skipped right over, made eye contact, and then walked off again.
