That's true but he's more than capable of throwing that ball into the ground as soon as he felt contact and not forcing it. He was forcing things by that point in the game that he shouldn't have (probably due to a combination of the deficit and having no time).

I'm sure he's tired as hell of it. Just sits back and watches Hurts stand in the pocket and make tea while he picks which All Pro he wants to throw it since there's just so many to choose from. It's not acceptable, and I hope his representatives make that very clear to Veach and Reid this offseason.
Even so, Patrick has to protect the football. It's just that simple, regardless of how crappy the OL might be or the weapons not getting open. Just protect the ball, keep the game in range. Maybe something good will happen later in the game. That's what he did against the Eagles two years ago.

The only way to have a completely loaded roster with a big money QB is the void year game. Philly has been doing it for 10+ years, but the Chiefs don't want to go down that path. Maybe they will change their approach, but maybe not. They need some luck to get the right person at Left Tackle. Injury luck. Negotiating luck. And so on.

Patriots AFC Championship was just youth vs Belichick scheme.

It's hard to diagnose and get timing right. Because you see a guy that looks open but you just have to wait an extra second till your WR clears and then you can fire it.

He fixed that by 2nd half.

That still felt to me like someone that had no feel for the pocket/pressure, though.

When he's on, he knows that pressure is there and he adjusts his throwing angle a bit to speed that up and get it out. Or he kinda braces as he throws.

That bizarre contortion shit he can do with his arm is one of the things that makes him great. Mere mortals get a bump from the side and fire a ball 8 yards away from where they were aiming. PM doesn't -- he trains himself to be able to deal with exactly that sort of maelstrom.

It was just another example of a play that 'Good Pat' doesn't get so rattled by and 'Bad Pat' just does....that.

I couldn't believe that kind of contact had him doing that with the ball. He takes more than that a half dozen times a game and the ball doesn't due what it did there. He was just really messed up.

I can't explain the Bengals game and probably never will be able to, but it's probably worth pointing out here that he's still the best playoff performer statistically in the history of football. He's allowed to have a bad game from time to time thrown in with his great performances. Everyone else in league history had plenty of them.

Huh? They've repeatedly tried fixing the offensive line and LT... and overall they brought in Hollywood Brown, who got hurt. Rice was out most of the season. They made it a point to draft Worthy.

Seems like we're rewriting history here... and I'd bet money Mahomes has a lot of visibility and some say in what happens, he's not just some worker bee hoping management gets him help.

We've always been a second half team in the Super Bowl. Frustrating but it is what it is.

LIV was 10/21
LVII was 7/24
LVII was 3/16

Middle of the second was absolutely not the time to start yeeting dumbass balls with next to no success potential.

Sometimes you have to tip your cap to the other team.

Anarumo saved all his best shit and plays that would screw with Reid scheme and Mahomes for the 2nd half.

You realize that the Chiefs are, at worst, as good as any team in the league at talent acquisition?

If what KC has done to supplement this roster around PM isn't good enough for you or Pat or Pat's representatives....well you're gonna be awfully disappointed.

The NFL isn't designed for teams with no flaws. And this idea that the Chiefs have some shit-house roster being propped up by Mahomes simply isn't accurate.

Well...newborn baby (along with 2 other young children) and a grandfather in hospice care right now. Lot of family stuff going on. If he's a halfway decent family person, he is spending the proper amount of time with them instead of 100% focus on football. Just my two cents.

They should take their victories while they can get them because they've got another decade of Mahomes to worry about. He's not going anywhere and he's still on pace to break everything that Brady ever accomplished.

Also their “logic” is flawed.

If a simple rings count determines GOAT status then Bill Russell would be the GOAT over MJ or LeBron… which no sane person believes to be true.

Brady was 3-2 in his first 5 Super Bowls. Same as Mahomes.
