You'd think the game wasn't an 11 point win where the Chiefs completely controlled the final 20 minutes.

I didn’t think any of the calls were crazy bad. They were all pretty close. I would bet that our corners held the crap out of their wrs tho and got away with it. That I could see them being annoyed at.
But there were only two calls - both hits on Mahomes that were in question. I don’t understand how this turned into “bad officiating overall”. It’s more of a question of two isolated calls than bad officiating overall the course of a game. |

"Crap. I can't believe they called the personal fouls against the Texans. I really wanted the Texans to win and those penalties really helped the Chiefs. I don't care that the NFL has acknowledged the legitimacy of the calls because I wanted the Texans to win damnit. Why can't I just have my way?!?!? Wah Wah WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!" ETA - On another note here, we see Shein using Aikman's ranting as justification for why the penalties were undeserved, just like all the other haters do. This is why the announcers have a duty to get things right and admit to their mistakes in the aftermath.

Walt Anderson explained why both penalties were called and how they were correct in both accounts.
I think and have seen the nfl admit when they made a mistake so this should wrap up this topic. Closure. |

This "Chiefs gets the calls" narrative is just getting old. Look man, if you come out of a loss where you made this many mistakes and you're blaming the refs, then have you actually understood how to win the game?
Here, let me lay it out here. 1. The officials didn't open the game allowing a 63-yard kick return and giving the Chiefs an additional 15 yards thanks to an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty because of poor coverage and one guy going all out Dwayne Rudd and jacking up his coach in the process. Chiefs lead 3-0. 2. That same officiating crew didn't miss an FG that would have tied the game 6-6. Because the Texans missed that FG, the Chiefs scored a TD right after this. 3. Also, that same officiating crew also didn't miss an XP that would have tied the game at 13-13 and the Texans gaining more momentum. Instead, the kicker missed it and practically took the wind out of their sails. Oh, and what happened after that? Chiefs netted another TD. 4. Finally, that same officiating crew didn't get an FG blocked. There's plenty more to list it all out, and there were some missed/blown calls, but that happens in every ****ing game. The fact of the matter is, Houston had opportunities to slowly seize control as listed above, yet they could not. Their special teams were the culprit of this loss as they gave up 3 points (early FG) and lost out 7 (missed, blocked FG, and a missed XP) in the process.

Can someone explain?
On the slide tackle, you can clearly see Mahome's head/neck get compressed by the Texans player. How is that NOT a penalty?
