I would easily take our WRs over theirs, as theirs are every bit as bad today without the talent and upside that we have in our group.

Congrats on your millionth absolutely reeruned ****ing take though.
Yeah ur right. If we switched WRs with New England Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and Travis Kelce would be really bad.

Thank god we have this WR core. Everyday I thanketh and prayeth the the lord Bert Screech for his soul mine to keep.

If you can't run routes in college you can practice all you like.

You aren't going to be good in the NFL running routes either.

Sorry, that's just the facts.

Practice is needed to know the current NFL offense and where you are supposed to be and to develop chemistry with your QB which is important.

But Mecole is never going to be a Terry McLaurin-almost never happens.

Yea, they'd be every bit as bad as ours, possibly worse, and that's without the youth and upside of Rice/Toney/Ross.

Only you could possibly think otherwise.

Hold on a second...so you think Justin Watson would be leading the team in yards if he was in New England? Ha. Thats gold.

I think our group has more potential. But they are pretty much a wash right now. I dont understand the upside of Toney, though. Thats just an illusion.

Are they throwing the ball to 6-7 different WRs in NE too? Completely different offenses.

Also, we were comparing them as a group. Nobody said that Watson is better than their #1. You're just moving goalposts, because you're trying to make a ridiculous argument. You don't even think Watson is our best WR (hence "but Rice"). None of these teams have a #1. That's not the point.

Be honest….you had to go look up the Pats WRs because you couldn’t name them.

Toney is 100% better than every WR on the Pats when healthy.

They don't have a single playmaker at WR like him. None of their WRs can get open like he does.

And some guys excel in certain systems but not so much in others.

Football is hard. The draft is hard.

We're going to be ok.
But there is plenty you can scout about football IQ. It isn’t perfect but we can’t assume all of that is easy to learn. A lot of that is instinct and sometimes you have it or you don’t. We talk about drafting skyy for his route running but based on what? He ran an RPO offense and limited route tree against bad competition in college. We drafted him for the measurables (feet, hands) and hoped he’d develop instincts because he’s got great character. It’s kind of a unique situation because turns out the measurables aren’t overly impressive either.

But it points to a trend where we used to value athleticism or role over feel. And I’d like to think rashee is a pivot in a new direction where we value guys with football iq. I don’t think it’s a coincidence rice and ross are always open and on the same page with mahomes despite being our most inexperienced.
