If the eagles were smart they would take advantage of the potential Carter/Caliendo mismatch
If the chiefs we’re smart they would have already thought of that possibility and prepared for it.

It will be Carter V. Trey. Any other talk is foolishness. Trey should bully him in the run game. Pass? We will see.

If they need to, they will just double him. Carter is gonna win some reps. But they're not gonna let him dominate the game.

This is my major concern. This game has the potential to see how moving Thuney to LT gets us BLOWN UP on the inside. Its really my only concern. Im sure though, that the Chiefs have a plan. They know that he can wreck the game, and they're not going to let that happen.

Thuney has earned the right to start in the Super Bowl. After that...

I keep hearing about the Eagles using light boxes and daring the Chiefs to run and the Chiefs’ run game not being good enough…
And I think those people haven’t been watching the Chiefs’ consistency and success rate running the ball with Kareem Hunt inside. We’re going to see a lot of 12 personnel and pseudo-12 personnel (because the Chiefs O is effectively 12 personnel with Smith-Schuster at WR).

I don't think he'll be a factor the entire game but he can make a play here and there that blows up a drive. Chris Jones has done that many times. We saw Carter do it against the Rams. But he could do that against Trey Smith also. I don't expect him to line up all game against Smith though, regardless of regular season tendencies. That would be foolish on their part.

One would think that Reid and his coaching staff will have a plan for this if it happens.

No matter how you slice it, the match-up favors the Eagles D-line. But the Chiefs have enough pieces and have figured enough out to work around it. We also have Andy building the game plan and Mahomes executing it. We are far from "doomed" regardless of how the Eagles decide to line up.

I think that’s perception but not reality. Swear on Thuney is not a crazy matchup. Nolan Smith - all 220 pounds of him - on Taylor is beneficial to the Eagles if he can just pin back his ears. But KC also runs a TON of 12 personnel and if Smith lines up wide, you can attach a TE over there or put Smith-Schuster out there and gain an advantage. Smith on Carter is about as good a matchup as you’re going to get. Smith will have to play well. And then you have Caliendo and Williams. To me, I don’t see the Eagles as this bulletproof DL. Maybe I’m wrong. But I’d rather see this Eagles front than the Texans.
