Jurassic World: Rebirth

Looks decent. I’m always a sucker for these bc I love watching the dinosaurs. This one seems to gear more towards JP: Lost World.

The closer they get to the books where shit is really on the line, the better.

So...while this will be considered sacrilege...if you're looking to continue the franchise, wouldn't a hard re-set be the way to go?

I mean we re-make shit all the time now. Rather than a sequel, just remake Jurassic Park.

I guess the real problem with that is that the original was just so damn well done that 30 years later it somehow STILL holds up. Which is just remarkable in so many ways. So maybe it's a bad idea in that you probably can't do anything with a re-make other than put new actors in it.

But the story from the book is a little different than the movie. You could add some wrinkles to the movie by more closely following the source material.

Or...you could just keep making bad movies that make a lot of money, I guess.

But these movies are all so similar anyway that it feels like maybe falling back on the strongest story and re-making that would be the best path forward.
It looks like they're kinda doing this, except they're falling back on the second best story. Lost World. You're right that renaming JP would be pointless because there is almost no chance it would be better than just re-releasing the original, but they seriously ****ed up Lost World. Might as well scavenge off of all the cool ideas in that book that were ignored in favor of a T-Rex chasing Japanese people in San Diego.

Yeah the whole human clone storyline, then the creating dinosaurs and selling them off to the highest bidder was kinda ridiculous. Then the special creation monster dinosaur just isn't working for me much, I doubt there's much this new movie could do that would make me really feel great about this franchise. It feels all too similar to what Star Wars became in 7, 8 and 9. Repeat the first safely with Jurassic World (which was great), then introduce annoying storylines that don't really make sense in Fallen Kingdom, then try to salvage it with a sewn together plot and bring back previous stars of the franchise for the nostalgia, if I want Jurassic Park from now on I might just go to Orlando every 3 years and ride Velocicoaster to get my fix if it's there.

I remember the Bulls raised one of their championship banners to the Jurassic Park theme in '93. That was really cool.

As for another JP movie, it just seems like they're beating the dead horse to an even deeper level of death. I'm as tired of dinosaurs as I am of zombies.
