2025 OL Prospect Thread
Alright guys, let’s have ourselves a 2025 OL Thread.
Current OL Questions: 1) We’ve invested in OL, what are your thoughts on their development path and potential roles next season? ...Kingsley, Morris, Humpries, Caliendo, & Nourzard. 2) Thuney’s holding it down at LT fairly well and getting paid big money, are you open to him playing there or moving him back to LG? For the playoffs & SB or next season? 3) Are you planning on picking up Jawan Taylor’s contract option in 2026 @ $27m cap hit? 2025 OL Draft Prospects: Depending on where you look we’ll get a chance to draft one of the following O-Lineman @ #32: Jones, Milum, Williams, Ersery, Simmons, Savaiinaea, Conley Jr or Booker. Some OL prospects that CP members have suggested for rounds 2-4 include Ratledge, Membou, Mbow, Jackson, Nelson, Brown, Colby, Belton, Fairchild & Zuhn, C Grant. Not much consistency in rankings or rounds for these prospects yet. 1) Would you take an O-Lineman in the first round or wait until later in the draft? 2) Who do you have your eye one? Why are they a good fit? Are they starters or projects? 3) Please add your own questions, comments, player draft profiles, links, videos etc for your favorite OL targets below! 2025 OL Prospect Videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gHlP2QlHI8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8AN0RTUowQ ^How to embed videos in post? I just don't see us taking a R1 tackle unless a serious fall happens for reasons outside football or something. They were ready to pencil Kingsley in day 1. There's something there that they like a lot. I think the move is probably bringing Humphries back on a reasonable one year and letting Kingsley develop in the off-season and fight for the job.

Which of these guys that might be available at the bottom of the 1st would be worth taking in your opinion, if any?
Wyatt Milum Cameron Williams Aireontae Ersery Josh Simmons Jonah Savaiinaea Josh Conley Jr Grey Zabel Simmons and Conley Jr seem to be CPs preference currently, who else do you like? Jonah has position flexibility and Zabel scored a 100% pass block rating on DraftBuzz, that site is also high on Milum who I’ve seen mocked all over the place. Ersery is from KC! Williams doesn’t seem athletic enough for Andy’s preference. Last edited by Couch-Potato; 01-05-2025 at 08:50 AM.. |

Cameron Williams - Yes if you want a RT Aireontae Ersery - Not for KC, too slow. Might be a guy BAL pegs to replace Stanley Josh Simmons - Maybe but he's probably going to struggle his rookie year trying to come back from injury. Jonah Savaiinaea - He's either a RT or moves inside to OG Josh Conley Jr - Yes, but likely top 25 Grey Zabel - Not in Round 1. He will need a year to bulk up and adjust to the competition. Might end up at OG if he struggles to adjust. Love the athleticism though |

Marcus Membou Armand Mbow Donavan Jackson Jack Nelson Logan Brown Ajani Cornelius Blake Miller Trey Zuhn Charles Grant Through some initial research I’m high on Nelson as a jack of all trades type, Brown and Grant have great athleticism to develop, Jackson and Zuhn to move to OG, and Cornelius has great potential at RT. Any others you guys think we should keep an eye on? Last edited by Couch-Potato; 01-05-2025 at 03:58 PM.. |

I like Ozzie Trapilo in the third round. Has experience at LT and RT. 3 year starter

"A mountain of a man (6-8, 310) with prototype NFL tackle size, Trapilo boasts the frame and length that offensive line coaches covet. His ability to stone-wall pass rushers and keep the pocket clean will have teams salivating, particularly those employing vertical passing attacks. The former Eagle has shown he can be a true bookend tackle, capable of handling both edge and inside moves. Trapilo's pass protection skills were on full display in 2023, as he didn't allow a single sack in 363 dropback snaps. His contributions were vital to Boston College's ground attack, which averaged 198.8 rushing yards per game, ranking 13th nationally and second in the ACC.

Titans ending the season with the top pick does wonders for our Sneed comp!
If we win the SB we’ll have back to back picks at the bottom of the 2nd and top of the 3rd. This makes a trade up in the 1st for a quality LT more plausible in my opinion. By the trade chart, we could get up to approximately pick 20 by trading one of those picks. We’ll see if there’s a player worth making that move. |

I'm feeling like our slotting means we're looking at a project OT no matter what. So unless we're drafting the best OG in the draft, we're probably looking defense in the first and possibly second rounds. There are some stud DT/NT types that may fall to us, and it would be good to be able to not need to play Nnadi.
If you're going to draft project OT's, you need to give them more than one season to show out. |

I like Josh Simmons but he isn't gonna last that long, he was a top 10 pick before injury, someone is gonna pull that trigger.

Milum was named a consensus 1st Team All-American. He gets knocked for short arms, lower body stiffness/lack of knee bend, and "middling lateral quickness." I don't know, the dude just wins every pass set, was an All-American Honorable Mention as a Junior, 1st Team AA as a Senior, and has multiple All-Academic honors. I find it hard to believe this guy won't solid but I see a lot of "he needs to move inside to OG" and "he's a 2nd round player." I think he's a much stronger and more refined version of Raimann coming out. Am I off base?
