I am not sure which game it was today, maybe near the end of the Cleveland/Indy game, where the announcer said something like "the refs have sure changed a lot of game outcomes with their calls this year." My guess is that won't go over too well with the NFL/Roger. |

One 1 complaint.
No more running on 1st and 10. I'm taking away Andy's running playcall permissions. They are stinky and bad and they don't ****ing work. |

![]() I just thought the crew doing the Chiefs today made a real effort to get it right, none are ever going to be perfect. |

I couldn't remember which call I had beef with - I just remembered - the Blake Bell fumble should have been an incomplete pass - I don't think he ever really had possession - the ball was still moving throughout the whole deal.

100%. The ball was slipping out almost immediately after he first got his hands on it. Seemed obvious to me and, of course, the broadcast didn't play it back 10 times like they usually do on calls that go to replay.

Yah. I was in the middle of something when I wrote that. Sue me. And I've never been that impressed with total yards as an indicator of anything in particular. But I looked at yards/play (7.5), 3rd down efficiency (6/11), RZ efficiency (3/4), and concluded that the offense showed significant improvement over their season numbers in those stats. However; The Chiefs didn't rush the ball very well at all, but overall the offense statistically was more efficient, in spite of a poor showing on the ground. It's also true that the Chiefs went 4 consecutive drives to start the 2nd half without scoring, in fact, they turned it over to start the half, then were forced to punt 3 times in a row. And it wasn't for lack of trying either. They tried to pass 11 times in their first 18 offensive snaps of the 2nd half, at least 6 times to a WR, and completed just one ball to a WR in the third quarter. They also scored just one time in the 2nd half. And needed a huge return from Hardman to do it. But, in spite of the obvious issues they had in the 2nd half, imo, the offense did show some improvement, specifically in the stat lines that I listed at the top of this post. So while you might be jizzing unicorns and rainbows over the total yards stat, I'm looking a little deeper than that.
