The nfl can actually learn a lot from soccer. Friendlies would be a really cool idea. When European soccer teams play international friendlies in the US, they're not sending their starters. They're sending their bench.

Wouldn't it be cool to see Tyler bray play a full game against a team of European starters that are actually trying to win? As a chiefs fan, I'd be intrigued. European fans would be intrigued. Over time, international teams could build future NFL players. Most importantly, it doesn't **** with starters or the regular season.

What a shock at the home teams. Notice the Rooneys, Maras and krafts don't have to give up a home game overseas.

Mother**** I hate these games. No crowd noise. ****s up the players schedules. Takes away home games for both the team and the city and fans.

Make every team play a friendly in the offseason. Boom. Problem solved without ****ing with competition.
They can sell tickets for up to 6 and 7 Times what they charge you guys in the States.

It is a simple as that

English Soccer teams playing Regular season games overseas is coming real soon. It will be places in the far east and possibly the US.

Problem with Pre-season games for NFL is A. they have already done this B. The product is really bad.

As long as wembley is selling out these games will continue.

Los Angeles is London II. A large population of football-starved fans of visiting teams. And the delusional Chargers think it will be better for them than what they already have.

Limeys are prepared to pay for these games, a lot of franchises cant even sell out their games. Atlanta had tons of spare seats at the game I went to, Cleveland has tickets on Stubhub for $1, Teams like Oakland, Detroit, San Diego cant even get 60k people in their stadium when you only get 8 games a year.

This will go the same way as Cinema, Americans don't go to the movies any more (figuratively speaking) so now films are being marketed for Russia, China and India.

If Americans don't want to fill stadiums any more there are a load of big cities in the world who will. Its the owners who don't Give a **** they want the $$$$ they don't care if it is yours or mine.

Playing a quarter season of a home schedule in London = big bucks to all 32 NFL teams. Eventually they will have it where half teams play international games a year (4 in London, 4 in Mexico/Canada/Germany/Ireland), and rotate every year.

Essentially you would get an international franchise, without having an actual franchise in the locales and not having to worry about the W/L record or competitiveness and logistics factors, and major dollars to all the teams. Which players will like as well because the salary cap is based of league revenue.

Big bucks to the owners.

It is a big **** you to the cities that are giving enormous tax breaks and incentives to keep a stadium. They lose 1/8 of their home games and with that, a ton of tourism, hospitality, and entertainment $s. At some point the cities need to push back and say enough is enough.

Soccer doesn't require the planning and recovery time as the nfl does. And the nfl season is so short that messing up competition for just one game is a big deal. It's why I don't complain about international NBA games.

The nfl has tried preseason games. They have not tried friendlies or, as the mlb does, split squad games. There are plenty of creative ways to boost international interest and make money without ****ing with competition.

I like the London games. Nothing like breakfast and football. I feel like a west-coaster.

I disagree with this. As a jags season ticket holder is see it as a win win. We let the euros subsidize 1 game and I only pay for 9 instead of 10.

Win.
