That’s the harsh reality.

CJ95 sent a CLEAR message this year WITH HIS ACTIONS that

His $ > team

He sat out a game in hopes the team would suffer without him and they would cave to his contract demands. That loss ended up being significant in playoff seeding. It hurt the team that day, it hurt their positioning in the playoffs and the fact he sat in a box and watched it was classless.

He insisted he play (and risk injury, which would hurt the team in a huge way) in a meaningless game for his personal $.

It’s highly doubtful he’s going to change and take a hometown discount. He wants the biggest brinks truck possible and I’m not sure I can blame him

Yep...Hindsight, we keep Tyreek. That's what sucks. But at least we got a haul for him. Wish we would have traded CJ before the draft last year. Hope we can get something for him rather than just letting him walk.

We won a couple SB's because/with him. He benefited, the Chiefs benefited, everyone can say their thanks and move on.

Wait, wut? Why would we keep Tyreek in hindsight? We got a massive haul for him, saved 30 million per year AAV, and down the stretch he was an outright liability for Miami. Several back breaking drops in crucial situations.

Had they known they couldn't keep CJ, I would imagine they'd have kept Tyreek.

I am amazed people would trade a potential Super Bowl 57 victory for the chance to have Tyreek back. It's mind boggling.

I just hope Jones will give full effort in these playoff games instead of the business decision stuff we saw from the Honey Badger in his final season. It makes logical sense for guys to protect themselves from injury when they're about to be on the market trying to get top dollar from other teams.

Not sure the Chiefs needed any big plays from Jones against a soft, warm weather Miami team that was completely out sorts in the Negative 25 degree weather. But they will absolutely need Jones and a bunch of other dudes to make some big time plays if they hope to defeat Buffalo & others remaining in the playoff field.
