I hadn't really thought about it, but even if that story was bullshit he's probably closer to retirement than we realize. He'll be 33 this coming season, and it's rare guys play past 35 at all, let alone play well.

Case in point, here's the guys from the 2010s All Decade team along with their final season age:

Jason Peters - active, technically (43)
Tyron Smith - active (34)
Joe Staley - 35
Joe Thomas - 33
Jahri Evans - 34
Logan Mankins - 33
Zack Martin - 34
Marshal Yanda - 35
Alex Mack - 36
Maurkice Pouncey - 31

lol wut

I'm the guy saying I trust Veach. You and the other chicken littles are the ones that think you're apparently smarter than he is.

But by all means, continue to shit on everything the team does while they keep going to Super Bowls.

What are you rambling about? Clearly he thinks Smith is the best option if he's bringing him back I'm not the one who's trying to make it sound like Smith is Jordan Black.

I'm sober as a gopher. While I personally wouldn't have made Smith the highest paid guard in the league I'm not going to sit here and pretend to do some accounting of numbers in which I'm off by millions of dollars like some posters on here.

It's clear Veach thinks Smith is the best option for this team and Norzard or whatever his irrelevant name is takes his rightful spot on the bench

We don't need to go into Squatch's football knowledge just check out the Mizzou football thread some real doozies in there so I'm not surprised he thinks some day 3 pick is a viable Smith replacement

I've mentioned him once, ever. Suamataia is the one that I think should get that nod, especially if Veach isn't bluffing and they've moved off him at OT for good.

I posted that Smith is the consensus #1 FA offensive lineman. I have no idea what you're going on about. Others are freaking out about giving him a big contract. My opinion was that I don't have a strong opinion either way because we don't know the full plan. So I don't know what you're going on about. If they WANT to afford him, they can, and that's all I was saying. Don't have to be a genius to look up the cap numbers on Spotrac.

complaining about a 5th round pick not being a world-beater as a rookie is dumb.

And I haven't had long hair in about a decade so I don't know what you're on about.

It must be when I asked what was wrong with you? Are you having a rough time, bud? Is there something you want to talk about?

Kingsley will be competing at the LT spot with DJ. I said that a few weeks ago and people will hate it but it's the most realistic possibility. Sure it looks like there might be some decent LTs on the market but there's probably atleast 10 teams in need for a LT that could outbid us.

What I don't understand is why they would move on from Kingsley after essentially only half a season of playing at LT. You don't spend a pick that high and just walk after a few games
