I think Mahomes and Andy will figure out what's best overall and if he can go, you know Mahomes will want to play and Andy wont stop him. |

Your calculation that Mahomes’ risk of aggregating his injury is low, apparently ignores the fact he’s been sacked 19 times, and hit/pressured significantly during the past six games. |

He was limping around last night and high ankle sprains only get worse the day after.
I think it’s bold if not unreasonable to think he feels like playing at this current hour. |

2 opinions matter: Andy’s and Pat’s.
If he can play, he will. We know this.

The real cowards are those that are so afraid of losing the #1 seed that they are willing to risk Mahomes' health to get it above all else.

Show me the evidence that he's going to get hurt and I will concede. But your can't, because it's not true. |

There is no risk to Mahomes, any more than any other game. It seems to me that the goal should be to play less games. The surest way to do that is get the #1 seed. The counter argument doesnt even make sense unless you assume the chances of Mahomes getting hurt are actually much higher than they actually are. |

The fact that he's that good too is yet another reason to ensure Mahomes is healthy for when they actually play. |

Yeah.. the divisional round is 5 weeks away. Better stash Mahomes because of a mild ankle sprain...what do people anticipate will happen...that sprain will lead to it being broken?
If he aggravates it vs. Houston to point he has to rest...sit him for the Steelers. Pittsburgh has their own issues right now...and will be spent after playing the Ravens. It would be 2 weeks of rest before the Donk game. |
