Trade whatever possible for a LT prospect

I don’t care. If there’s a LT in this draft that they feel can be a good quality LT, do it.

I don’t care if it would cost three 1st rd picks. Mahomes is not gonna be this athletic for much longer.

It needs to happen

None of 'em.

There isn't a single blue chip LT in this class, IMO.

There's nothing resembling Alt. I don't even see a JC Latham. I'd take Fashanu over anyone from this draft class and he was lousy last season. I'd take Fuaga over anyone from this class.

It's not really until Mims out of the '24 class that I start to see guys I'd put behind the top prospects in this class.

It is just the absolute wrong year to be aggressively trading up for an OT. You'd be better served standing pat and hoping to get a Rosengarten sort at the back of the 1st or even back of the 2nd. Rosengarten was actually fairly effective, fairly quickly last season. There's a solid argument to make that apart from Alt, he was the best rookie OT in football last year.

Just recognize that you could well end up with someone like Guyton, who was barely more playable than Kingsley. Then again, had we traded up and taken Fashanu after paying a kings ransom for the privilege, he was only marginally better than Guyton was.

Fellas, we gotta just keep plugging along here. There's simply not an obvious and easy solution to this.

Absolutely agree, get him in there at any possible spot so he can start learning the game and develop that versatility Reid always wants in his OL room

Starting off as a guard or RT for a year or two doesn't preclude him from eventually earning the job at LT, at all

So much is dependent on FA, including LT. We aren't going into the draft with 3 WRs. We aren't going into the draft with 1 healthy TE who has seen any meaningful snaps if Kelce retires. We aren't going into the draft with 1 DT and 2 LBs, etc.

You can't expect to fill all the holes in your roster with rookies. You had a great draft if you can fill 4 holes, one to two immediate starters and some decent, contributing depth in a couple/few more. We have 29 FAs. 3 of those are ERFAs and one of those 3 is a backup K. We can't conceivably make a meaningful impact on the overall construct of the roster with 6 draft picks, 2 of which are in the 7th round.

This is why Geoff is kind of an idiot at times. He has to think about this before saying you don't do this or that in the draft. Do what you feel is best for your team, especially long term. This is why people bashed Atlanta last year for drafting Penix even though it was a good move for the future. There are no guarantees in this league that you'll be in the right position to get a QB you truly believe in. That can be said elsewhere as well.

I don’t think he’s saying that at all. He’s responding to all the people saying “just trade up for a LT that falls.” And he’s stating even if one does, he’ll most likely profile just like Kingsley…talented, but young and raw…and would benefit from a redshirt year. Which he argues is what Kingsley should have had this year.

We were just one pick away from rosengarten last year. This conversation would be a lot different if we were able to pick him.

He is rumoured to be taking a monster contract from Washington.

Im still in the Alaric Jackson camp. He's above average for league starters, slightly under the radar and might be more affordable. Still room to grow with his age too.

22 total pressures allowed in 2024.

Stanley: 35 total pressures
Wanya: 35 total pressures
Mailata: 14 total pressures

All roads lead to the draft. The draft is the life force of successful teams. Take a look at what the Eagles have done in the draft the last 4 years:

2021-DeVonta Smith, Landon Dickerson, Milton Williams, Kenneth Gainwell
2022-Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, Nakobe Dean
223-Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith,
2024-Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Jalyx Hunt

They have also found incredible value at key positions in Jordan Mailata, Zach Baun and Mekhi Becton.

Howie Roseman and his staff deserve praise man. They have been killing it

Do we not LOVE the thought of Josh Simmons dropping slightly because of injury and Veach moving up to get him? Talk me out of Simmons!

Exactly why they won the SB in dominant fashion, draft picks are CHEAP compared to what you have to pay fix team thru FA

I'd be for it, maybe we sacrifice our 2nd round pick and one of the third rounders to move up and take a LTotF, it would be a much cheaper way fiscally to try and fix the LT position versus FA. Draft is still a huge risk though as many first rounders fizzle. You know Mahomes would love it, he seemed to really enjoy the Kingsley pick last year although that one didn't land as projected.

Yeah, credit to Roseman. They have absolutely killed it in the draft. These players seems to fall into their laps - reminds me of the ravens drafts when players like Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs fell to them.

I know Jackson's a LT but man... who's to say he doesn't suffer a similar fate when Andy inevitably asks him to vertical set 30 times in a game

Which is why I'm going to assume they're out on Jackson until proven otherwise. They have a type, and I don't think they're going to pull an OBJ again and try to fit a square peg into a round hole.
