But he struggles through the second preseason game and its abandon ****ing ship, because heaven ****ing forbid, you get called out on CP for being a homer.

Eric Fisher is almost the worst ranked OT on PFF right now.

Look, I want to take a chance on playmakers. Again, I'm not excited about the Fisher pick because of positional value. But I think Fisher will be an excellent Right Tackle and think it's silly to think his value is any less because he struggled early on, but became a great player in a reasonable amount of time. Even if Fisher becomes an elite Tackle, it's a terrible pick if Manuel or Geno become franchise QBs. That doesn't change regardless of how he plays early on. |

A guy like Geno I don't care about because there was never any realistic option where he was gonna get picked top 10 by any team.

Yet CP pleaded for Fisher and not Joekel. You got your wish.

This is all yet to be played out by next season & all depends on how Albert and Fisher perform this season. Albert has yet to sign an extension so his future is undetermined. It's going be very discouraging if we take another OT in next years draft with our first pick.

Most people didn't want a Tackle, but if we picked a Tackle, they sure as shit didn't want it to be Joeckl. Why? Not just because he's an o-lineman, but because he was a safe pick -- no upside, but a surefire "pretty good" player. When talking about linemen, Fisher was much more positively viewed by CP. Now we're trying to re-write history and claim that if we picked any tackle, it should be the safe guy. |

A RT at 1.1 that struggles against second stringers is ****ing infuriating. I don't really know shit about Eric Fisher as far as his projection and supposed upside at the time of the draft went. I checked out about the time I realized the Chiefs were going to be selecting a LT at #1. Whether that was Joekel or Fisher, I didn't care. To me they were both the safe pick you take to protect your newly heralded Franchise QB once you sell Albert off. That's how it was supposed to go down. It didn't and they shifted the dude to RT. Which sucks to think about your franchise's only #1 overall pick being used on a RT. And then he doesn't even come out and play well. ****. Just be good. |

How about just looking like a first overall pick? Damn right i expect the first overall to be a star, but at this point in the preseason, i expect him to look like a first overall pick. Right now, he looks like the game is too big for him. These guys seem like they're too strong for him. And yeah, the injury thing does bother me. He sounds about as soft as he's playing right now. |

When in the living **** did I say CP wanted a RT? I've said over and over that most didn't want a Tackle, but between Joeckl and Fisher, it was clear that CP preferred Fisher over Joeckl. It wasn't even close. |
