Peyton “looked real good” throwing to new Broncos teammates

As he settles in with the Broncos, Peyton Manning is learning the rules of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, including that he can work out with teammates, but only away from the team’s facilities and outside the watchful eyes of the coaches. And that’s exactly what Manning did today.

Lindsay H. Jones of the Denver Post reports that Manning took snaps from center J.D. Walton and threw passes to wide receiver Eric Decker and tight end Julius Thomas during a session at a Denver-area high school, and afterward Decker said he liked what he saw.

“He looked real good, though he probably won’t admit that he’s feeling good or feeling back to the way he wants to be,” Decker said.

Decker said Manning is trying to get comfortable with his new teammates now, and that the players who were on the roster last year are talking to him about the offensive concepts the Broncos employed — even though the offense will be quite a bit different with Manning running it in 2012.

“Just some drill work, talking through stuff, so he gets familiar with the verbage and the calls,” Decker said. “The biggest thing is he wanted to get a feel for us, and a feel for being under center.”

The Denver Post published 23 photos from today’s session. To the extent that you can tell anything from a still photo of a guy throwing a pass in sweats and a T-shirt, Manning looks pretty much like he has always looked.

The best thing about being a Chiefs fan this season is going to be watching the Donks fall apart. They used up all their luck last season and it will be the reverse this season. I am so excited for it!

Do you know how wide the gap is between Peyton Manning and Tim Tebow?

Tebow was trying to learn how to be a QB while Peyton Manning has mastered it. Denver doesn't need luck. If we could win 8 games with Tebow there is no way we win fewer than 10 with Manning, and I'm expecting 12 to 13 wins.

I'm sorry you don't know how to read what scheme a defense is playing, but Flowers wasn't the guy who got beat on that TD.

He only won 10 with a better Colts team before major surgery. The West is KC's (Cassels) to lose.

The return of the 3 ACLmigos is drawing quite the buzz in league circles. Comments of loaded Chiefs team being the biggest reason folks are picking KC.

Personally, like usual it's San Diego's division if crybaby and Norf don't find a way to **** it up.

I expect KC to take the West though.
