Wish I was going to the game, but I don't have that kinda jack to buy a ticket at the moment. Also helps that I went to the one in Busch as few yrs ago. I'd prob find a way to pony up the money if I hadn't gone then. Just not important enough to me. Royals baseball has been shitty for so ****ing long it's really hard for me to get excited about anything that franchise does. They seem to be getting better. Which sucks because baseball has always been my favorite sport. They've been so bad for so long, mis-managed and owned for so long, that now it's to the point for me where I could give a **** if they Royals moved right outa town.

you can get the full weekend of tickets for $145 on Stubhub.

*edit* ah nevermind, that's just parking. Wish Stubhub would not include parking under the ticket header.

Keep in mind, MLB sets the face value for the tickets. I think they were $250 in 2009 in STL.

This seems like a good deal - HRD tickets plus a pair to 10 games for under $500.

Not sure. I really want to, but don't think the wife does. We hit the Friday/Saturday games this past weekend, and it was hot as hell on Saturday. She's probably baseball'd out.

I was looking at the extended forecast, and it looks to be swamp-ass inducing hot, complete with the lovely Missouri humidity. We'll see.

Knowing my kid, she'll end up wanting to go to Oceans of Fun with her friends when the weekend comes.

A friend of the family offered me two sets for the entire weekend with parking and a hotel for three nights, but I just don't give a hoot. I told him that I appreciated the offer, but to find someone else if he could.
20 years ago I would have been all over it. Now, apathetic is probably the best word to describe it.

I'm glad I decided to skip going to St. Louis for the games. It was hot as hell, watched the Saturday game on tv laying pool side with a frozen drink in hand. Way better than sweating my ass off at Busch.

2 sets, or 2 seats?

If he's got 4 seats, I'm interested

This is true but they still basically have to make sure everyone gets a chance to play instead of sticking with whoever is hot and/or dominating. Personally I think the impact it has on the World Series is stupid. If I am a contending NL team or fan I really do not want to see someone from the Cubs, Astros, or Padres deciding whether my team gets home field advantage
