The wedgie scene in Always Sunny has perhaps the funniest underwear scene I've ever watched.

For those of you who don't know the show, Charlie (the last guy to get the wedgie in this scene) is incredibly low-rent. He does stuff like steal the cheese from the bar's rat traps, and he eats a lot of cat food. Watch what happens at his high school reunion when some old classmates give him a wedgie.

Boxer-briefs. Best of both worlds.

Best underwear ever.

First, briefs suck period.
Second, boxers were alright for a time, but became constricting when I needed to climb a ladder or do anything that required my legs to spread. Also, no support.

These are perfect.

I get the support, and the freedom to move. Also, the length is key. With shorter boxer briefs, the legs tend to creep up when you're being active. So I'd have to pull them down, through my jeans of course, such a pain. These stay right where they're supposed to.

Another benefit, is they are a spandex type thing, so they always fit right, even at the end of the day. Cotton stretches, and even a blend will stretch over time, so eventually, they won't fit comfortably, even when put on fresh in the morning.

I will never wear another kind of underwear. They even have "staycool" type now, might have to try a pair.
